99 walkovers across the whole competition, when are the RFU going to listen? Clubs dont want cup games.

Terry Burwell will use it as a chance to introduce play offs. Anything to avoiding giving clubs what they always wanted.

A wet but happy day at Ripon as they emphatically disposed of Whitley Bay Rockliff 48 - 7. After a "nip and tuck" first half, which ended just 15 - 7, Ripon took control of the game and scored five further tries to no response. A very different Ripon squad with 13 changes in all, including 9 recalls.

So impressed were the visitors with Ripon hospitality (and magnanimity in victory) that they have invited them to a pre-season warm up next year and a "sleepover" to include their beer festival. Winner winner, chicken dinner.

Looking forward to visiting Ossett next week in the other cup and determined to catch up with Ossett 9 No More!

Cheers Ossie and thanks for the offer. I still get "pre-match nerves" even though I am only doing the admin and match report  , so will forgo lunch thanks. Will be hanging around after for a catch up though.
