And they went the week before with a travelling reserve. How many teams have the luxury of being able to take a player to watch in the midst of an 'injury crisis?

North Ribblesdale are going to be competing with Heath for the best team who "don't pay players" 🤭🤭🤭
Loving all rugby but especially at grassroots level.

Actually had two travelling reserves. We included two young lads from the 2s as our merit opposition chose to play an away friendly fixture instead of the merit game. We couldnt find anyone who could accommodate us despite trying many, many clubs.

Maybe he's another player coach, BRB?

Why are clubs so against admitting they pay players?

FlankSinatra

Sometimes it is the only way to recruit and I think people should admit it and there would be less judgement if they just admitted it

BRB, a contact, at hull rugby union had mentioned that scarborough were actively after a few players to bolster there squad and asking if any out of favour players would like to join the club. Is there any truth in this? i would also think that if the players are close to hull they would likely go towards driffield but thought i would open the debate

I do not think it is a bad idea if it leads to players coming to play and I am sure other clubs do this too. Also would you welcome new recruits down to silver royd?

I've no idea but sounds good to me
Any players from anywhere are more than welcome at Silver Royd...but I guess that would be case for any club.
