At least the York boys found enough to beat the Scarborough imports on their own cabbage patch.
Sad thing is, it might be the only highlight of the season.

You beat Scarborough colts ...and celebrated like you'd won the world cup 🤣🤣🤣

Hopefully DAA, Scarborough will get themselves promoted this season.
But the Scarborough I watched on Saturday couldn't see them winning a single game at level 5.
Nevertheless it would probably stop BRB from adding towards is 11 thousand plus rants.
but then again they will probably go belly up as in previous seasons

Not really allowed on here as we have been ostracised to the North-West by Mr Burwell. What a complete w***** he is. He listens to the clubs gripes then tells them that you will do what he dictates. complete pratt imo, it is time that we get together and push a vote for 14 team leagues at out level. Was at the once mighty Waterloo on Saturday and they were in total agreement. Please lets get together and if we have a collective voice we might just have a chance of being listened to.
Although I think Mr Burwell will still be impervious to the majority of clubs opinions.

Presumably you're an Old Crocs supporter? I think I'd be more concerned about winning a single game in your current league!

As for the quality of the league above, certainly Cleck (for a bottom club) seemed very physical and well drilled. Drif were similar to many clubs in C2NE.

5 matches in it's a fools game to make any assumptions about promotion or relegation in any league.

You know you will get a nibble hence the digs at Driff being "dominated" or "similar to many clubs in R2NE"

So I will bite.

Your opinion is that "many" clubs in R2NE would be 3 wins from 5 in R1NE? The equivalent of a mid table position currently?
Given recent history - Middlesbrough 1 win from 5 (against winless York, although along way to go for both of them)
Percy Park & Selby - Relegated 1st time of asking
Pontefract - Relegated 1st time of asking

Not sure that stacks up.

So for the 1 level 5 game you have watched of Driffield this season, which was a win against a "very physical and well drilled" Cleckheaton side, Driffield are the standard of many Regional 2 Team.

Said I would bite so well done 😂, but can't quite see the logic, other then to get the notion out that a side of Scarborough College employees would currently hold their own in Regional 1. Hopefully you get the opportunity to find out next season.
But for now we will have to concentrate on the leagues we are in.

Whilst that was a good nibble, it wasn't what I was seeking (for once).

Driffield were pretty much as expected, I can read a team sheet. I have no doubt that you will stay in this league.

I was more surprised that Cleck were bottom of the league, as they looked far from bottom of the league material.

My adoring fans will be delighted to know I'll be watching my second C1NE this Saturday as I'm at Penrith v York by virtue of a week away in the Lakes with the family.

If you're there Micky you can get me a pint....

I'll give feedback after the match.

I came to watch this match. I thought it would be good viewing for sizing up top of the league vs bottom of the next league.

From what I saw, York left a lot of points out there. At least 6 tries butchered by basic skill errors. Scarborough looked out their depth.

I also did not realise colts had 200 and 300 caps, and were also bald and grey haired men!
