Pock probably best team ive seen Wetherby play in 3 seasons. Ten minute spell after half time turned the game. Wetherby should have taken a penalty to bring the game to 10-10 then found themselves 23-7 down 5 minutes later. Pock well drilled n first phases of play and look a team playing with confidence.

Pocks big lad from the bench is a cheat code. Boy can move!

Then just not on the team sheets as Gate also been putting out a twos in recent weeks
Thought Scurr played really well today, and the other winger on loan looked sharp too. Massive credit to the Wetherby pack who put Pock under pressure for the full 80. Great watch for anyone down at Percy Road this afternoon. Thoughts, Pock n Roll?

Well where to start Mr Roach, maybe I  just copy and paste BRBs observation of last week's results with a surprise win for Pock and a surprise loss for Wetherby? Maybe everything fell in our favour for a second week running?

On to the game and Pock dominated most of the first half without gaining the points to reflect that by half time, a very good first 15 of the second half saw us pull away with some great phase play, credit to the very good Wetherby side who stuck at it and attacked in the last quarter, making it another nervy finish for the Pock faithful.

Highlight of the game for me was seeing our ex rugby league convert, or "the fat lad" as he was so graciously described elsewhere on here, smash through the Wetherby defence and look to be going on to score only to be stopped just short.

Highlight of the whole day and possibly my 47 years on this planet, was finally getting to meet the current custodian of the hallowed 14 jersey, what a day to be alive!

Watched crocs yesterday. Finally started to click at Broomfield. Could be a long season for Donny.

Any more insight from across the league?

Also what's the play off structure

Sassy Sideline - what did you make of the Town -Salem game. Interested to get a point of view from your side?

Rugby Convert

Ponte well beaten at Morley. Very flat.
They are struggling with injuries, but that doesn't excuse the woeful tackling and reluctance to go through the phases. Lacking leadership and direction on the field. To many players hiding. Fingers crossed they get some experienced player back for the next game against Crocs

Obviously very happy to take the win. It was a physical game, strength on both sides to be fair. A great game to watch. Some disappointing verbals from the "supporters" at moortown but is expected. Amusing when the town players started scrapping between themselves at the end. And a decent ref too

Agree on this. Morley dominated the game and it was essentially put to bed by half time. Ponte weren't helped by a yellow card in the first minute and a flurry of penalties for high tackles throughout the game. It was evident that Ponte were missing some of the more experienced players from last year, two of which appear to have joined the coaching staff.

Morley will be pleased to have registered back to back victories after a mixed few weeks. Next up for them it's a trip to Bradford Salem and their new recruits which should be a tasty affair.

Are Pocklington the new league favourites then with this win over Wetherby? Certainly seems so.

I wonder if Bradford Salem will start to have a charge up the league now with their recruits.

Lots of teams in touching distance. I also fear some strong teams will be in the relegation playoffs this year.

It would certainly seem that way at the moment. A seriously impressive start from them given they have played and beaten each of the top 6 teams. However, I think I stated on another post that there is still a lot of rugby to be played and season fatigue, injuries, availability, weather, rearranged games etc will still have a big part to play. It would be a monumental ask for a team to go unbeaten in this league and I don't think that will happen, however, they have given themselves a great chance at this stage of the season. It will be a very interesting next block in the run up to Christmas.

Pock are 100% favorites (and were mine at the beginning of the season along with Wetherby and Morley) - however I also agree no team will go unbeaten and there's a lot of rugby to be played yet.
Loving all rugby but especially at grassroots level.
