Dropped It

Should probably give this game up as a bad do. Been awful predicting anything this season, ha.

Bradford & Bingley v Huddersfield Laund Hill - Tight this. Draw.

Bramley Phoenix v Halifax Vandals - only one vote for us so far and lots against. Can't argue that, we've not been the side that was pushing for top four last year in any way. Plenty of reasons for that. But I still back us. Van +7

Bridlington v Old Otliensians - OO +7

Northallerton v Halifax - Fax +7

Ripon v Ossett - Rip home advantage -7

Roundhegians v Baildon - Tight as well. Hegians just.

Bradford & Bingley v Huddersfield Laund Hill - Huddersfield +7

The HLH boys have a strong team out compared to the one that played against Brid excited to see what they can do!

Bramley Phoenix v Halifax Vandals -Vandals +7 the vandals to dominate up front

Bridlington v Old Otliensians -

If this is the one team which keeps it away from their winger then I could see an upset, but last week they didn't display the brains

OO's +7

Northallerton v Halifax

north to take it here I think - north +7

Ripon v Ossett - Ripon +7

Ripon -7

Roundhegians v Baildon - Baildon if they keep it in the forwards baildon-7

Locked Out

Ripon made very hard work of eventually beating a spirited and passionate Ossett yesterday. Ossett's ball retention and recycling was far more effective that Ripon's and it was only the firm home defence that restricted them to just the two tries. Ripon's "chuck the ball around with gay abandon" created some hair-raising and buttock clenching moments. Squandered possession and territory denied Ripon the try bonus point they were seeking and kept the score creditable for Ossett. A welcome if a little tenuous return to the top half of the table for Ripon, but need to find some consistent form to stay there.

HandsInTheRuck

Not the most entertaining game of rugby over at Brid. A referee that enjoyed the sound of the whistle more than anything. Both OO and Brid would agree.

OO were unlucky with 2 crucial moments in the first half where the ref blew. One he called for crossing, when it was just a simple short dummy line and out the back OO were clearly in.
The second was the Brid captain blitzing the line and putting in a shoulder charge with contact, to which the OO centre managed to roll out and would have been a simple pass into the corner with no defence, but the ref blew without any advantage and only gave a yellow.

That been said, Brid played their game as they had planned and starved OO of possession, OO didn't do enough in the first half - But in terms of those who were made to pay £5 to get in on Saturday, they would probably want their money back.

Well done Brid.
