Locked Out

I didn't make the game on Saturday but HLH finished the stronger v Ripon ending up 38 - 21 winners. A lot of size, power and pace on the Huddersfield side that will take some stopping.
.

I'd rather be in t'sunshine!

Despite Baildon winning 15-12, my predicted North win by -7 was more accurate than I thought it would be. North should have won, maybe by +7 if not for some wayward kicking and bad decision making at the last second. The future does look a bit rosier tho 👍🏼

Locked Out

The way North and Ripon are going at the moment, they could be changing places any time soon!

What a terrific day at the Vandals!! Sold out Christmas lunch! Good crowd! Lots of beer sold!
The game was as committed and confrontational as expected with several cards (not Christmas ones), big hits and hard running, tempers boiling all providing terrific entertainment! Game turned at 5-5 with Halifax attacking in the Vandals 22. A big midfield tackle turned the ball over and Ethan Bush ran almost the length of the field to score a converted try which Halifax never really recovered from!
Great atmosphere in the bar afterwards and a fantastic local derby! A day for true grassroots rugby fans!!

HLH v RIPON

Laund hill came out the blocks ready to play rugby in the first 20 mins taking control of the game, then Ripon turned up 15 minutes prior to half time.

As the second half commenced, the scrum took dominance. Ripon facing scrum after scrum in their own 22, penalty after penalty LH finally got the try they needed from the back of the scrum.

HLH came up with brilliant play and defence all across the park, they finished will a brilliant blind side play mixed across several forwards, leading to the try of the game.

Again another dominant display from then team. That's makes it 3/3 with a big 2026 pending

Good to see HLH on the up but dont think you will catch Dinno or Wath this season.

There's a good reason for that.
