Hope everyone had a good Christmas!!
First game of 2026 marks the half way point of the league season.
Fixture for next Saturday are

Barnsley vs Hornsea - going for a narrow home win. Barnsley -7

Hemsworth vs Corinthians - Game of the week. IMO who ever wins will go up with Wheatley Hills. Going for a narrow away win. Corinthians-7

Rotherham phoenix vs W Hills - 3rd at home to the league leaders. Going for a narrow away win. Hills -7

Skipton vs Burley - going for a home win based on Burley might not be full strength. Skipton +7

Thorne vs Castleford - Cas aren't the best travellers but I think they'll get a win this week. Castleford -7

WPL vs DV - DV need to getting winning soon before they start losing players to Rugby league, but I don't think they'll get a W this week. WPL +7

Barnsley vs Hornsea - Another long trip for Hornsea, thinking Barnsley will have too much up front to edge it out. - Barnsley -7

Hemsworth vs Corinthians - A big clash to title contention. Both teams are looking strong and will be a hell of a game with lots of points scored. Just think Corinthians are looking the stronger so far with a consistent team being put out week on week - Corinthians +7

Rotherham phoenix vs W Hills - Considering the phoenix home record this season, this to be a real tough battle for us. Will always back a win - Hills +7

Skipton vs Burley - Skipton at home is always a tough place to travel, thinking they will come good and boost over the 2nd half of the season. - Skipton -7

Thorne vs Castleford - Thorne, losing their vital 10 & 12 to local team Goole, going to struggle without them two. Castleford aren't travelling to well this year, but feel they will come good. Castleford -7

WPL vs DV - WPL playing some high scoring rugby, DV need to start getting some points over the line. - WPL +7

Barns v Horns: Isn't every trip a long trip for Hornsea? Think a strong home win here. Barno +7

Hems v LC: Could be a bit tasty and maybe a bit feisty this one. Hems -7

RP v Weatos: Another potential match of the day. Hills to extend their title ambitions. WH -7

Skips v Burls: A strong home challenge to avoid the relegation zone. Skips -7

Thorne v Ca$h: Think Thorne are pretty much washed up now: Ca$h -7

WPL v D&V: It was fun while it lasted for Dearne but... WPL +7

Only two games on today in Y3 and it's safe to say the two away teams wished their games were called off.
