It's getting close to the business end of the season, a few shock results are bound to occur from now until the end. A few teams are teetering on the edge of being dragged into the relegation scrap, however if Scabs beat Pock this weekend, surely it's all over at the top.

Moortown V Ponte
Morley V Phoenix
Crocs V Wetherby
Pock V Scabs
M&N V $alem
Selby V Brods

I shall start off the predictions and set the tone for the upcoming weekend.

Everyone is still within reach of the play off spots apart from Donny so it is starting to get interesting and every point matters now, Can Scabs hold on to the top spot. Could there be a few league position changes after the weekend.

Lets see on Saturday afternoon how it goes.

Moortown V Ponte - Town have put a few good wins together and seem to be performing better each week while Ponte have been on the end of a few bad results which puts them towards the relegation battle, With that Ponte have notoriously struggled to play at Town for a number of years so should be interesting. Town BP Win

Morley V Phoenix - There is only going to be 1 out come from this and that is 5 points for Morley and Donny to start planning for next season unfortunately.

Crocs V Wetherby - Both in the bottom half of the table and after Crocs beat Selby at home last weekend I cannot see Wetherby been a better outfit than them so it should be another W for Crocs with a few cards flying about at the hostile ground that is Broomfield Ave. Crocs Win no BP.

Pock V Scabs - MOTD for me and the battle of the top 2, Scabs win they've won the league if Pock pull one out of the bag the fight is still on, Could the pressure be too much for Foden's men?? I'm going for Pock Win No BP.

M&N V $alem - M&N are coming into this weekend on the back of 3 very important wins for them and I think they will get another this weekend with $alem picking up a few yellows in the game. M&N BP Win.

Selby V Brods - Both teams coming off a loss and I think the only difference this week is Selby are at home and Brods have no hill advantage so I can only see a Selby win here. Selby BP Win.

Oldandslow

Moortown v Pontefract – Told Ponte don't have a great record at Moortown and I don't see it improving, Moortown bonus point win.

Morley v Donny P – Morley bonus point win by plenty.

Old Crocs v Wetherby – Close game but with home advantage just making the difference home win.

Pocklington v Scarborough – MOTD Scarborough to win and take a giant step to winning the league.

M&N v Salem – M&N to win but no bonus point.

Selby v Old Brods – Home advantage just the difference Selby bonus point win.

SomecrapbackfromWestYorks

Moortown V Ponte - Easy Moortown win with a BP

Morley V Phoenix - more a question of by how many than who will win. Morley to break 60 points with ease. Will Donny get a try again this week?

Crocs V Wetherby - Crocs to grind out a good home win with the hostile home fans making it tough for Wetherby! Crocs with a BP

Pock V Scabs - BRB will of course be playing down Scarborough but after beating Morley away they should be favourites for this one and the league now. Assuming at Full strength, Scarbs to win.

M&N V $alem = Personally this could be my match of the day. Malton know how to play at home and execute the game plan well, close match with Malton jus5 coming out on top

Selby V Brods - After last weeks results this is a hard one to call. Did Brods have half a team missing against Pock or did Pock bring in some mew players? Selby loosing to Old Crocs after disspatching Pock also a shock. Talking myself in to thinking this could be a great match with Selby to just come out on top againat what is likely to be a powerful Brods pack.

Crocadoodledo

Moortown V Ponte - Moortown slowly creeping up the table as the season goes on and I can see them closing the gap to Selby this weekend, after dispatching what looks like an underwhelming Ponte side when away from home. Moortown +7

Morley V Phoenix - Could it finally be the week we see a ton on the scoresheet. Much like Heath last week in the division above. Morley +95

Crocs V Wetherby - Cracking performance against a decent Selby side last week. After beating wetherby away earlier on in the season with 16 men, I would hope for another win this weekend and Crocs to continue the push for safety. Crocs +7

Pock V Scabs - MOTD, Top 2 faceoff. PNR Vs BRB. Pock look like they may have finally gotten over a heavy December with the result last week. However, I can't see scabs loosing another game this season if they stay at full strength. Tight game. Scabs -7

M&N V $alem - Another game between 2 teams in the tightly packed middle of the league. If M&N can prevent it turning into a scrap, they should come out comfortable winners. M&N +7

Selby V Brods - Selby looked pretty good last week, especially in defence. Can't see this being a big score line either way, and no slope for Brods to roll down in Selby. Selby -7

On the face of it this seems a regulation all home wins week. If you were putting money on that's what you'd do.

Moortown v Pontefract – Moortown were always going to improve and that's been the case. I would think this could be quite a big home win.

Morley v Donny P – I really hope that Donny don't concede more than 50 any match for the rest of this season. It's not good to see a d it will help them rebuild next season if they don't get completely dicked each week.

Old Crocs v Wetherby – The conditions are everything that Crocs want, BP win for them.

Pocklington v Scarborough – Pock back to full strength and will be buzzing after last week's match. I doubt the weather or conditions will suit Scarborough at all.

M&N v Salem – I think Malton will take this one with quite a bit to spare, certainly a BP win.

Selby v Old Brods – Old Brods will not relish a trip to Selby after their hiding at Pock. Selby will run them around too much..home BP win.

Come on BRB, after convincingly beating Morley at Morley you can't be downplaying Scarborough's chances and favourite status to win at Pocklington. You boys must be expecting a BP win.

I'm not a gambling man, but I would've put my mortgage on The Bandit downplaying Scarbs chances this weekend...again😂

Moortown v Pontefract - Town the only side I've not seen this year and Ponte were decent in spells down at Percy Rd, that said, I'll go for a home BP win and town to keep in touch with the play off places.

Morley v Doncaster - Morley BP win

Old Crocs v Wetherby - Good win for Crocs last week and I think they'll do it again tomorrow , narrow home win.

Pock v Scarbados - Despite BRB's protestations, Scarborough are most peoples favourites for tomorrow and for the league as well, rightly so as they seem to be well geared up for R1 rugby.

Pock will have to be at their best, last weeks return to form was an excellent performance, the lads will be well up for this and I'm going to go for a Pock narrow win to keep the East Coasters looking over their shoulders as they march towards the title.

M&N v Salem - Malton win.

Selby v Old Brods - If the classy Selby backs can hang on to the ball in difficult conditions then I think it'll be a home win.

You guys...🥰🙊

Had Scarborough been unbeaten I would have agreed with you. But we've lost 3 already including to Pocklington at Silver Royd.

So I dont think it's unreasonable for Pock to be favourites at home.

I've watched most matches this season and the difference between the majority of the teams is the luck of the bounce, a decision going their way and confidence of winning. There are no vastly superior teams to the others.

There will not be a single person connected to Scarborough expecting to win tomorrow, everyone will think we are capable and certainly hope to win but there is no over confidence.

Moortown V Ponte - Routine home win, expect Moortown to get 5 points.

Morley V Phoenix - Bad day to be at Morley, big home win.

Crocs V Wetherby - Tight game & big game for both teams. Depends which Wetherby turn up, away win.

Pock V Scabs - Has Pock's bubble burst? Scarbs to win in style.

M&N V Salem - Malton win here, a long way from Bradford. No BP, home win.

Selby V Brods - I was surprised at Brods result last week, I think they bounce back this weekend.

You seem to be in the know about allot of the teams and their squad strengths to be fair. Hope the match lives uo to the hype. Interested to know the key match ups.

Changed my mind and I now think Selby vs Brods could be the match of the day.

Forty Twenty

Moortown V Ponte - Town seem to be getting into their stride now and look to be aiming for the playoffs. Ponte's games are always close but i think the Far moss lads will have to much. Town +7

Morley V Phoenix - A lot to 0

Crocs V Wetherby - A battle of two large packs, can Wetherby find their early season form or will they continue to struggle. Crocs crowd to get under their skin. Crocs - 7

Pock V Scabs - MOTD - Scarborough are definitely the most rounded team in the league and are well on their way to R1. Will be tough in the rain over at Pock but Foden's men have more than enough quality to get over the line. Scabs - 7

M&N V $alem - M&N have got much better as the season has gone on and have won 5 out of their last 6. The money men won't like the wet cold trip over to Malton but will always offer something in attack. M&N - 7

Selby V Brods - Early prediction for Brods to not make the play offs come the end of the season and for Selby to close that gap this weekend. No Hill and an energetic Selby backline will be too much for the Halifax Heavies. Selby +7

After a 10 season sabbatical I found some time to dip my toe in the water again.

Moortown v Ponte
Town -7. Town look to be building nicely and their 'ultras' albeit quiet recently make it a tough place to go.

Morley v Donny
Morley +7. The 🤴 might actually score a few.

Crocs v Wetherby
Crocs -7. I see Crocs edging a physical contest.

Pock v Scarborough
Scabs -7. Big test away at Pock. This feels like one that could be decided by a single score either way, but Scarborough are on form and playing some great rugby at present. BRB is losing out not offering Pay Per View on VEO.

Malton v Salem
Malton -7. Malton usually manage these winter home games well and Salem's threat might not be enough away from home.

Selby v Broda
Brods +7 with a big upset. Selby at home can play, but Brods' pack can turn games into a fight and if they get on top early I can see them with a big win
