Love will be in the air next weekend but probably not on the rugby field. Some tasty and important games at both end of the table this week:

Burley vs Dearne Valley - time is running out for the South Yorkshire Boys to save their season, looking at the squad they took to Skipton it seems they have given up their Union season,  Burley do need a win to avoid getting dragged in to a relegation fight and being on home soil they should get the victory either through playing or not. Burley +7 (HWO)

Hemsworth vs Barnsley - Barnsley will be happy with an away game to avoid playing on their boggy pitch, should be a reasonably close game with the home team just edging it. Hemsworth -7

Hornsea vs Castleford - maybe not the game of the week but possibly the most important. Both teams need a win to keep a gap between themselves and the bottom 2, Hornsea seem to be a lot better at home then on the road and Cas aren't the best travellers so I'm going for a narrow home win that is if the away team even turn up. Hornsea -7 (HWO)

Skipton vs Rotherham Phoenix - can the hosts keep up their home form ? Rotherham aren't as strong on the road as at home but will still be a tough test for the hosts, Going for a narrow away win. Phoenix -7

Thorne vs WPL - Thorne's last game was the first game since November they didn't lose, it was only a draw but at least it wasn't a defeat. WPL not totally out of the promotion battle just yet but would need other results to go their way and to keep winning themselves and I think they will this weekend. WPL +7

Corinthians vs Wheatley Hills - the only contender for GOTW, 2nd at home to 1st. on same number of points but hills have a game in hand, IMO the hosts have being the better team since the start of the new year. Corinthians have the better backs but Hills have the upper hand upfront and going off the famous saying forwards win matches backs decide by how much I'm going for a narrow away win. Hills -7

Good luck all hopefully the weather plays ball and start drying pitches up soon. 🏉🏉

Had Some serious levels of rain this week, hopefully all the games are still on

Locked Out

Burley v D&V: Looks like the Dearne valley boys have well and truly sh*t it and can't see any glimmer of hope for a recovery. Burley +7

Hems v Barns: Going for home dominance and Barns settling for mid-table mediocrity. Hems -7

Horns v Cash: Another "not much in it" match, so just going with home advantage again. Horns -7

Skips v RP: Form suggests Phoenix may be more up for it but Skips at home will be tough. Skips -7

Thorns v WPL: No contest here despite the long journey. WPL by a shedload.

LC v WH: Agree GOTW and clash of the titans. Would rather have Hills and WPL back in Y2 that Corinthians, so WH +7
.

Thorne vs WPL is OFF !!! Flooded pitch

backlash

Burley +7 Completely different side at home. Easy win, thats if the visitors decide to fight for survival.

Hemsworth +7 Not sure the home side will need the dirty tactics this week. Either way home win.

Hornsea -7 Home side to seal it just.

Skipton -7 Both decent sides, Rotherham may just have given up on promotion after last week but tomorrow will tell.

WPL +7 Game postponed but fixtures building up. Sure the WPL lads will have an eye on the top 2 clash tomorrow.

LC -7 Backing my boys to edge this one. Who knows what will happen but this game is massive for both sides. Definitely one for the neutral.
The pub is as much a part of rugby as is the playing field.
