Oldandslow

Salem v Moortown – Salem at home should have too much for Moortown, Salem bonus point win.

Donny P v Old Crocs – Should be a regulation bonus win for Old Crocs.

Pontefract v Morley – Pontefract are not a bad side and all their results are close without them actually winning. Their remaining fixtures all look difficult so they need to win all their remaining home games to have any chance of avoiding the relegation playoff game. On a heavy pitch think the Pontefract pack will grind out a win.

Wetherby v Pocklington – After all the wet weather and more wet forecast expecting a mud bath. On a wet cold day  Wetherby will have too much forward power for Pocklington. Wetherby bonus point win.

Old Brods v M&N – Brods at home too strong for M&N, Brods win but no bonus points.

Scarborough v Selby – Its half term so the result depends on which side is at or near full strength. If  Scarborough are at full strength then a Scarborough win if not  who knows.

Hope all the games go ahead and we don't have any weather cancellations.

$alem V Moortown - I can't see this being the prettiest free flowing game of rugby. $alem to struggle with the wind and rain. Moortown -7

Phoenix V Crocs - 'Should' be a routine 5 pointer, depends how many crocs lads are on the leash for Valentines day. Crocs +7

Ponte V Morley - Ponte to keep losing by less than a score in what could be a tough game for the neutral to watch. Morley -7

Wetherby V Pock - Who knows which Pock team will turn up. If it's a similar Wetherby team to the one at crocs, the weather will suit them. Wetherby to sneak it with all 12 forwards contributing. Wetherby +7

Brods V M&N - Brods coming off two very poor losses need a result badly. I do think they will get one but not as straight forward as some may think. Brods -7

Scabs V Selby - Routine win for Scabs against a selby team that seem to be way stronger at home. Scabs +7

Pumba

$alem V Moortown - Not much between these 2 in the table but I think Town will want it more and that will be the deciding factor on Saturday. Town +7

Phoenix V Crocs - Crocs to get a 5 point win nothing less.

Ponte V Morley - Ponte will struggle against a strong Morley team and I hope they get a strong team out and give Morley and run for their money. Morley No BP.

Wetherby V Pock - Wetherby seem to be struggling quite a lot recently and looks as if they have given up hopes of a play off spot and Pock will be trying to chase down scabs. Pock BP Win

Brods V M&N - Brods back at home with the hill and Malton coming in off a loss against salem at home makes me see and Brods 5 point Win.

Scabs V Selby - Scabs to be too strong at home get that little bit closer to Regional 1. Scabs BP Win.

Salem v Moortown – Two very contrasting styles here. The likely weather and the home ground will certainly suit the style of Salem. However there is no love lost at all between these two clubs. I'm going for a narrow home victory.

Donny P v Old Crocs – We know the outcome here.

Pontefract v Morley – One team fighting for top spot or at the very least a plum playoff position...versus....a side fighting to avoid the relegation play offs. Morley should squeeze over the line here.

Wetherby v Pocklington – Wetherby were one of my tips for the top and I'm very surprised to see their slide down the table. I think I've read they've lost a few players (not sure if to injury, left or travelling...or a bit of everything). Pock were limited last match against Scarborough but have some powerful ball carriers. Small Pock win.

Old Brods v M&N – Two similar sides both of which have had good runs at time this season's and patches when they have dropped off. Brods are a bit lost at the moment and this is the perfect opportunity for them to get back on the horse. Close Brods win.

Scarborough v Selby – It's basically rained nonstop for as many days as I can remember. Saturday is due (currently) to be a fine day. I just hope the rain stops early enough on Friday to clear the pitch. Both sides will want a perfect dry pitch but they aren't going to get it. Who will adapt the best to the surface????

Has Oldandslow been kicked in the head by a horse? I think he's way off it here.

Salem v Moortown – Routine DRAW

Donny P v Old Crocs – Only hope is that Doncaster mix up the pitches and Crocs end up playing Knights - probably still turn them over with the form they are in.

Pontefract v Morley – Pontefract couldn't back it up when the chips were down at a depleted Moortown, no change here. Morley -7

Wetherby v Pocklington – Wetherby could play with 15 forwards they ain't winning this. Pock +12

Old Brods v M&N – If Malton didn't travel like homesick babies they'd have the spoils here. Uninspiring fixture Brods -7.

Scarborough v Selby - This has the hall marks of a corker, hopefully Selby backline have been practicing their highball in a wind tunnel. Scabs +7

PocknRoll

Rain, sleet and snow forecast for some areas today, with a drop in temperature overnight meaning conditions tomorrow afternoon could be very tricky.

Will any games be off?

Hope not, I've promised Mrs. Roll a bag of chips (to share) from The Whaler for Valentines day, and they say romance is dead!

Salem v Moortown - Another feisty game up at Shay lane, Salem played the heavy conditions very well when they beat us up there, and for that reason I'm going for a narrow home win.

Donny P v Old Crocs - Got to be a BP win for the reptiles.

Ponte v Morley - Can only see a Morley win here to keep the pressure on the top two.

Old Brods v M&N - Close one this, might even be a draw, Brods to just nick it by a score.

Wetherby v Pock -  I reckon this is going to be a cracker of a game, Pock to win a close contest and try keep a bit of pressure on Scarborough.

Scarborough v Selby - MOTD for me, impressed by both these sides this year, and while the Selby backs quite rightly get a lot of praise, the pack were very good in the second half at their place, some big carries and excellent in defence, that said I think the East Coast All-stars will get the result and stay on course for the league.

SomecrapbackfromWestYorks

Ponte v Morley - Routine win for Morley with a BP.

Salem v Moortown - tight match with salem just edging it. Tough place to get a result but maybe a loosiing bp for moortown.

Scarbados v Selby - Scabs win if they have the ref on side as can't see Selby troubling them at home without a few cards for the home team.

Wetherby vs Pock - who knows, if its the Pock team that beat Brods it could be a high scoring affaor and a ling day for Wetherby but a close contest looks more likely in this weather.

Old Brods v M&N - Old brods to do the usual at home and kick for the corners hoping to maul or scrum there way to victory.

Donny v Old Crocs - we all know the result so a better game is guessing by how much. I.am going for a win by 45 plus to less than 10.

BRB - Is that a rhetorical question with no prediction for your own game?

A predict a sold out lunch, big crowd, a fast entertaining match and then a packed clubhouse to watch England smash the SpringJocks!

Forty Twenty

$alem v Town- No love lost between these two, think it'll come down to who wants it more on the day. Town seem to be coming into a bit of form. Town -7

Donny P v Crocs - Donny 5-52 Crocs

Ponte v Morley - Ponte keep losing by narrow margins but really aren't anything special. Morley's pack should breeze through them. Morley +7

Wetherby v Pock - I imagine this will be an attritional affair, I think the lack of backs for Wetherby will cost them here and Pock will want to keep pressure on Scabs who have a tricky fixture. Pock +7

Brods v M&N - Brods team sheet looks like their 10 has returned. On the hill I back them to put a few past M&N. Brods +7

Scabs v Selby - Silver Roud faithful will be out in full force here in what could be a potential banana skin for the league leaders. I think this will be a high scoring game, with lots of exciting rugby by both sets of teams. Scabs -7
