[Locked Out]

A tough shout for Ripon at Northallerton yesterday, with North's juggernaut pack ruling the set piece. With three tries coming from line out catch and drive and one pushover scrum, they were a force to be reckoned with. Not sure how things would have worked out if the North Kiwi Centre hadn't quit early, but he looked sharp to start. Ripon dug deep and whilst losing at half time, came good by keeping the ball alive later on. a final score of 27 - 34 was justified I think, though North may say they were robbed and a draw may have been fairer. The league points haven't helped Ripon, though will have given North a good buffer from the drop zone. Keen to keep them in Y2 as it reduces drinking time lost travelling!
