Castleford vs Phoenix- Phoenix have dropped off a little so if the Hosts can put a strong team out I can see a narrow home win. Cas-7

Hornsea vs Wheatley Hills - if my Maths are right then Hills have being promoted, Hornsea much stronger at home then on the road but I can't see them getting anything from the league leaders.  Hills +7

Corinthians vs Thorne - one game closer to Y2 for the hosts and one game closer to Y4 for the visitors. Comfortable Home Win. Corinthians +7 (HWO)

Hemsworth vs Skipton - GOTW. Probably the two most improved teams since the start of 2026, going for a narrow away win and for Skipton to keep their winning Streak going. Skipton-7

WPL vs Burley - Students vs Students. Home win    WPL +7

Good luck all

Wheatley's promotion was confirmed after Corinthians victory over WPL last week. They will go up as champions if they avoid 2 defeats in the last 4 games.

Corinthians will achieve promotion if they get 7 points from the last 4 games.

Thorne can be relegated if they lose at Corinthians this week and Castleford win.
The pub is as much a part of rugby as is the playing field.

It might come  down to the Castleford Thorne game on the 18th April (if Castleford don't win anymore games) to see who goes down. But for that to happen Thorne would need to get a few points  at Burley or Corinthians away which I can't see happening. Hornsea are pretty much safe if it's only 1 team down but if it's 2 to go then it's between them and Cas.

Cas 21-24 Rotherham
Hornsea 10-31 W Hills
Hemsworth 32-20 Skipton
WPL 45-14 Burley
Corinthians HWO Thorne

Nothing out the ordinary this week really, Wheatley Hills are promoted already and are probably winning the league, Corinthians only need 2 points from their last 3 games to also join Hills in Y2 next year. Looks like Thorne have thrown in the towel and will be in Y4 next year (if another team after Dearne Valley are to go down)

Ossett will be joining the league next season after being relegated from Y2 yesterday probably joined by Halifax unless some extraordinary happens in the last 3 games of the season.

Maltby are Y4 South Champions and York Based Rowntrees are a win away from being Y4 north winners so we pretty much know what the league will look like next season.
No games next weekend so back on the 11th April.
