Certainly an interesting spell away from the game.
"Bother!" said Pooh, as he found his smack had talc in it.

Well, you never know. I've never heard of him.

Interesting to see BRB talk about paying players when he has previously been so adamant that Scabs don't and won't.

Amazing ethologically to see a leopard change its spots before my very eyes.

Lordy Lordy it's a miracle.

Errrr .What have I got to do with this conversation?

Scarboroughs position remains completely unchanged and always will.

Quote from: backrowbandit on May 28, 2026, 07:33 PMWe settled on a basic £150 per match and a £200 win bonus. We've also thrown in an extra incentive of a trip to las Vegas for the whole squad if we stay in the league next year..... And if we get promoted an all expenses trip to Driffield.

Am I misreading this?

If so I apologise without reservation.

Crikey....if you're going to respond to a light hearted comment try and do it in the same month not weeks later!

I like a dry humour but you've just uncorked a Domaine d'Auvenay Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru.....if that was your intention.

Suggest you read it again!!

Now it's been announced that regional 1 will have 5 replacements what's peoples views on this? Will it benefit the teams coming down from Nat 2 as they've been used to it? Will it hinder 2nd teams?

Differ Lid

I think the fact it's the clubs discretion to take 5 subs or not, and only required to have 1 front row doesn't make to much difference.
Those with stronger squads might benefit slightly with the ability to bring 5 sets of fresh legs on of players of a certain level.

The clubs that might benefit are those without a 2nd XVs in the league, like Hull for example, but don't think anyone is daft enough to think the social media silence is a lack of signings for them. Rumours of an army of overseas players joining the ranks, trying to be to be a Scarborough or North Ribb 2.0 😉

And the club with the most overseas players signed so far this season.....= Driffield.

Fancy that

Funnily enough Hull starting to post the players staying with the club. If they keep the core of last year they'll be up there with the set piece being the difference. Last season they often put a full front row on the bench. Will teams at this level be able to handle this?

Scunthorpe on the other hand seem to have lost key player to Hull Is.

Have the signings dried up at Silver Royd?

Who are people dark horses for the season?

North Ribb looking for accommodation for two kiwis takes the lead unfortunately for Driffield after leading the way for so long.

A little house in Scarborough provided for a young lad from Beverley will soon be getting some new visitors apparently, so we will have to wait and see come the start of the season who holds the title of the most overseas.

Unfortunately I don't think any will compete with the suggested number due to fly into Hull
