26/27 counties leagues !?

Regional 1 & 2 leagues have now been announced for next season.
Does anyone know when Yorkshire 1 and below are released and in what format are they going to happen ?

Are we having 10,12,14 team leagues ? I've heard all different stories

The structure for Counties level leagues is being decided by the respective Constituent Bodies and will be released later in the summer.

I think that all Counties leagues in Yorkshire will be 14 teams as, if what I have heard is true there will be 36 more teams to sort out.

Not a chance, waste of a vote. Its in the RFU rules they carnt have 14 teams leagues. The only options are Yorkshire 1 and below will be split north / south or easy west (×2 12 teams) unless theres any self preservation going on above or a complete balls up and increase the number of divisions with all the issues that comes with it ie level 8 teams becoming  level 10 and dropping divisions. What about the referees levels and numbers.  Not looking forward to kicking off on here as it will happen!

With reference to Reg 6, it looks like they've ticked that box. Trying to impose something to placate a few of the bigger clubs without thinking it through.

Only reason I could see for not allowing a lower Xv in league is if they hadn't fulfilled all their merit league fixtures or not existed in 25-26. Which seems fair

Whats the logic behind regional 1 and 2 starting a week later in Sept and also playimg right up to xmas, finish in April whereas Counties 1-3 have a big gap over xmas again with no income and the season finishes on 22/3. No rugby for 6 months how does that work. Devil in the detail as clubs were supposed to hear today who is in what league so they could start planning

There is no logic.
But hey, let's not forget, the Competitions Committee said they made the changes to allow players family time. Obviously Xmas is not such a time.
They also have a break week in middle of October. I suppose tying it in with half term was beyond them.
