Fixtures are now up on the RFU web site.
"Bother!" said Pooh, as he found his smack had talc in it.

It certainly will be a challenging season for every club involved in R1NE and R1NW.

I have seen a couple of Scunthorpes good players have decided to keep playing National League rugby. I wonder if most of Hulls players will also be jumping ship.

It's not difficult to notice Ilkley, Scarborough and Driffield have been getting their cheque books out again.

Excuse me Sir, we don't have a cheque book. We have a Coutts Silk card......

Because there isn't enough games to fill out a full season??

I don't mind it actually. Gives everyone a chance to have pre-season friendlies a week before the season starts without being affected by bank holiday weekend.

Never known the season not start on the first Saturday of September. Mind you, we go way past the end of April these days and I think we have two games in April next season, as opposed to one this past one.

RuggerBug

Alnwick lad here wishing everyone a good season when it comes.
Our 2nd team have joined the leagues this year and at the moment, with infinite wisdom, the fixture gods have arranged for both teams to be either away or at home on the same date. Hopefully, something can be done before September.

RuggerBug,
you have more chance of being on a day return trip to Mars then getting anything changed. I spent about six hours a couple of weeks ago speaking to Peter Morgan, Bob Morrison, both of whom are influential on the make up of the fixtures. It seems they dont like each other and so decided not to have a common sense chat about clubs sustainability and reduced travel costs. Surely it cannot be beyond supposedly intelligent people to pick up a phone and have a sensible chat regarding your post. After all we "Allegedly put people on the moon some 58 years ago". But phone calls and communication seem to have taken a back seat and not necessary by the "Powers that be".
Maybe thats why the chair of the Yorkshire Competitions committee has resigned. He is a good rugby bloke. Make of it what you will but I am personally very disappointed that common sense could not prevail, a reasonable request could not be discussed/or responded to. It smacks of dictatorship arrogance to me. All I want is whats best for all clubs, not just North Ribb.
