Quote from: crocodiledundee on Oct 06, 2026, 10:32 AMFirst predictions of the year for me, but been a great start to the season with some good rugby on display.

Doncaster Phoenix v Bridlington - Not much to say here. Brid +7

Harrogate Pythons v Goole - Great start from both teams, unsure which way to go here so home adv to take it in a cagey match. Pythons -7

Hullensians v Old Rishworthian - Going off what I saw last week Rish will need to perform better on the road to get anything from this match. Hull -7

Keighley v Old Otliensians - The flash to have a field day and OO to continue their strong start to the season. OO+7

Old Crossleyans v Yarnbury - MOTD? Both teams will be wanting to be a the top end of the table and similar results so far. Have to back the Crocs on home turf, and if the rumours of King Kong returning a true the Yarn are in for a long afternoon. Crocs +7

Wensleydale v West Leeds - Both teams seem to love to score and hate to defend off the results. Both relatively unknown to me so going for a high scoring draw.

Not sure KK is back for this week, all hearsay at the moment. Presumably still swatting planes out of the sky and scaling the Empire State buidling.
Must be a shortage of bananas in halifax. Will know when he's spotted hanging off wainhouse tower.

The Lurker

Doncaster Phoenix v Bridlington
Might not be the cricket score that some are expecting if Brid are as poor on the road as I'm lead to believe. Still expecting a reasonably comfortable win for the Seasiders Brid +7

Harrogate Pythons v Goole
Pythons have had a decent start but still think Goolies are the team to beat this season. Goole -7

Hullensians v Old Rishworthian
'Ull ran WL close at home last week but reckon the trainspotters and their imports will edge a high scoring game OR -7

Keighley v Old Otliensians
Brilliant start in Y1 for OO, I reckon the Keighley Carpet will suit them more than the hosts & I hear their big tattooed centre is their real threat in the backs... OO -7

Old Crossleyans v Yarnbury
Surprised by Yawno's result against OO, no disrespect to Donny P but Yawn would probably have wanted a tougher first game to start their season. Crocs imports going to make the difference for a home win unless Yarnbury have signed Godzilla that is... OC -7

Wensleydale v West Leeds
Going to back a home win here. WL free scoring but also free conceding, if the farm boys can keep the game tight they should have enough. 'Dale -7

RigasorausRex67

DP vs Brid - Brid +7

Harrogate 3Xv vs Goole - Goole too good for the gate rejects. Goole +7

Hull vs Ri$h - Hull to start the turnaround and to put the money babies to bed. Rish are poo. Hull +7

Keighley vs OO - Lowesy Masterclass incoming. OO -7

Crocsarepoo vs Yarnbury - Yarnbury tight game -7

Wensleydale vs West Leeds - West Leeds are old and washed. Dale +7

Slug of a 6

Doncaster Phoenix v Bridlington. Brid +7
Harrogate Pythons v Goole. Goole +7
Hullensians v Old Rishworthian. OR +7
Keighley v Old Otliensians. OO +7

Porky

Doncaster Phoenix v Bridlington - Brid +7
Harrogate Pythons v Goole - Goole +7
Hullensians v Old Rishworthian - Rish -7
Keighley v Old Otliensians - Otley +7
Old Crossleyans v Yarnbury - Cross -7
Wensleydale v West Leeds - Wensley +7

YorkshirePudding

Doncaster Phoenix v Bridlington - Another sad season for Donny, hopefully they find their level soon. Brid +20

Harrogate Pythons v Goole. Goole seem to be the early favourites, Pythons will give it their best shot. Goole +7

Hullensians v Old Rishworthian - Old Rish by all accounts have recruited well. Rish +7

Keighley v Old Otliensians. - This will tell us where OO are in terms of being title contenders, tight game. Kweefly -7

Old Crossleyans v Yarnbury. - Gut tells me that OC will have too much fire power for a relatively small Yarnbury pack. But if Bateson is on the wing then it could be Yarnbury's day, he's a monster. - OC -7

Wensleydale v West Leeds. - Such a hard place to go, long travel for WL. Dale -7

DrRuck

Donny Dodos vs Donkey Riders
Another long day out for Phoenix who are showing no signs of rising from the flames. Brid +7

Posh Snakes vs Goolies
Champions elect with a must win game in this top of the table clash, will the Otley-imports perform? Goole -7

Fishermen's Friends vs Ri$hie$
The well-traveled Ri$h side will be used to long journeys and gives them chance to tick Hull off their European tour bucket list. Ri$h +7

Keefleh vs Old Olicanians
OOs to play the carpet better than their hosts who seem to have struggled to get going, are the old boys a spent force?. Howarth to set new land speed record. OOs +7

King Kong vs Aladdin & Co
Contrasting styles of play on display, the Jet Setters will need to employ a large game of Piggy in the Middle if they're to prove they aren't just AGP-specialists. Yarn -7

Wotsits vs Baildon 2s
Best views in the league, shame about the cabbage patch pitch. Wortley boys too stunned by the green space and magnificent mullets on display. 'Dale +7

gateprop

Doncaster Phoenix v Bridlington - with a very long away day on the cards for Brid I'm sure Donny will have earmarked this one as a potential win. Until they show something positive though it's hard to back them. Brid +7

Harrogate Pythons v Goole - been a while since we've been involved in a 'top of the table clash'. A good start for both teams and I'll back us against anyone this season. We beat Goole at home last season so back us to do it again. Pythons +7

Hullensians v Old Rishworthian - I think Rish are the better team on paper but I just think there's something in this for Ensians at home. Hullensians -7

Keighley v Old Otliensians - Keighley standing on the precipice of a disastrous start to the season and I can't see this going their way either. Pitch will suit Ensians speed. OO's +7

Old Crossleyans v Yarnbury - I would expect Crossleyans to be strong at home and edge a close one. Crocs -7

Wensleydale v West Leeds - I have the feeling West Leeds will have too many points in them for Dale despite a disparity in the forwards. West Leeds +7

Crocs 37-34 Yarn

Last minute winner after playing 14 against 16 for 80 minutes.

Yarn pretty decent, will be up there at the end of the season.

Another 3 tries for our pet rocket, and 2 for the pet rhino.
