Please correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think this has even been done before! Pexley444 ( Paul Exley - Bradford and Bingley RUFC ) has perfected the predictions to a tee this week.

A suggestion a few at Bees have made is potentially having a winners prize at the end of the season to add abit of fun and competitiveness to this. Potentially some money?

What is everyone's thoughts on this?

Massive congratulations Paul 👏

Thanks Lorraine cant believe i did it first try lol best thing is though big win for the bees season turning for us now. Felt sorry for Sheff tigers players couldnt hear any support all game from their fans. Poor show whats point in travelling if you dont cheer your team on

Don't know how my team WPL isn't in this league looking at recent results. Teams are dross the sycamore men will be back on top in leagues and West Yorkshire soon enough

Evening all and just to manage expectations, the full post regarding results, scores on the doors and predictions league placings for regular contributors, will probably emerge tomorrow afternoon-ish, or Monday.

Lorraine - I love your energy and enthusiasm and really don't want to rain on your parade, but we've been running this predictions league for I think four or five seasons now and we've been averaging 20 regular participants. These contributors have usually started at the start of the season and continue week in week out to the end. There should (if the various data rescue operations over the years have worked) be evidence to show that "getting a full house" is not an unique event, not is getting one at first shot a month into the season when most other predicters have been in from the start.

On establishing this bit of fun, I proposed that is was just that and the eventual winner had bragging rights and if they were able to present themselves at the end of the season at Ripon RFC I am very easily distinguishable, or approach me at their place, I will gladly buy them a pint or a fruit based drink for the lady  ;D I don't however, think we have any mechanism for fundraising for cash prizes, nor do I think BRB would approve - I certainly don't. Unless this is a perverse and subversive way of funding more players for B&B?

Enough of that, we love a bit of harmless banter and I sincerely encourage everyone - there's a good few newbies on this week, to see it through to the end of the season.

Onto the serious stuff - Ripon got a well-deserved five pointer 22 - 34 win today against a well organised, fit and fast Driffield 2nds. Honours pretty even at the set piece, though Driff worked some magic in the second half to pressure the Ripon scrum. Driff always looked dangerous with their early wide play and Ripon capitalised on close order stuff. Turning around 10 - 20 at the break it honestly looked anyone's game.

Ripon nearly imploded with a string of second half penalties and three yellow cards, but dug deep with some heroic defence and break out tries. Driff made the score more respectable with a late overlap against 13 men and deserved their try bonus. Looking forward to the return leg and returning the excellent hospitality.

You were in danger of sounding far too serious for a second there!

Hoping for a catch up this season but the unique league division from the YRFU plays against us

Apologies Doc, I always get a bit nervous and potentially serious, when "paying for playing" gets too close for comfort.  ;D

I'm sure the stars will align for cheese and wine at some point!  ;D
