A brilliant game at Laund hill yesterday, 2 teams going toe to toe throughout!

Unfortunately it was a game of small margins.

Sheffield took the early lead within 10 minutes, however after that quick start Laund hill settled and held the lead at half time.

Sheffield came back out in the second half, with a rejuvenated approach.

Laund hill won the forwards battle but struggled to maintain their backs at times, which Sheffield managed to cut through and cause damage.

I'd never pass judgment on the ref. However for the calibre of the game he was out of his depth. Inconsistent in relation to the decisions. Both teams were committing and giving away penalties however he chose to only punish the HLH boys, handing out 2 yellow cards, 1 a certain the other not so.

Sheffield pushed in the final minutes with HLH hitting them back with everything they threw at us. With 1 minute to go Sheffield chose to go for the win. Instead of taking the 3 points for a draw, HlH managed to defend their lines and cause a clear knock on with the ball going forward, however the ref gave play on allowing Sheffield to go over in the corner to grab the win on the last play.


Overall a great game to showcase Y2 calibre this season!

Sheffield will be up at the top come April! As I believe HLH will!

17/20 points for the HLH let's hope for better fortunes when we play them at their spot!
