Pythons 83 - 14 Doncaster Phoenix

Commitment from Donny right till the end scoring in the latter stages of both halves. It's gonna be a long season for them but hopefully they find their level next year. From our point of view we did what we needed to. Could have been a few more tries but we had a bit of joué and interesting handling that went astray. You have to enjoy your rugby though so not really too much bother there and it made it a great game to watch. Good to get back to winning ways ahead of a tricky run of fixtures.

Other scores:
Bridlington 38 - 12 Hullensians
Goole 38 - 36 Old Crossleyans
Old Rishworthian 7 - 35 Old Otliensians
West Leeds 24 - 49 Keighley
Yarnbury 61 - 15 Wensleydale

I gather a last minute penalty at Goole to win it? Also a big statement win from Keighley to kick start their season!

New prop for West Leeds poor today, hopefully lad starts to perform but can't see it. Levels just too high for him

I wonder if he's regretting the move, maybe the grass isn't always greener...

Crisis talks at Rish.

No second team despite Peter picking their starting point.

First team youth club leaking points, what's the solution?

I wish I was a neutral watching this game.
Crocs were the architect of their own troubles in the first half, penalty after penalty conceded. As soon as they sorted that in the second half, they could score from anywhere.
Goole to be top 2 at the end of the season. The 13 was a real handful.

With crocs first 3 choice No.8s out injured, a new lad made his debut and was arguably crocs best forward. Hoping he's in for the long run.

Was it not just a case of being out matched? Where did he struggle most?

What's gone on there? They had three teams last year

I don't know but I'd expect that if it carries on much longer the panic button will be hit what with their friends round the corners 2s looking on good form in the league below!

I can imagine their homegrown players are probably a bit pissed off with them bringing in 4/5 bang average imports each season. Plenty of alternative clubs around Halifax...
