Quote from: SycamoreMan1959 on Oct 21, 2026, 09:40 AMHarrogate Pythons v Wensleydale - HP +7, Pythons should be good enough at home to beat a struggling cheese manufacturer

Hullensians v Doncaster Phoenix- Hull +7

Keighley v Bridlington - Keighley +7 Keith Lee too on on the magic carpet for brid

Old Crossleyans v West Leeds - Crocs +7 West Leeds seem too weak up top with a backwards scrum. Crocs too big and strong for them.

Old Otliensians v Goole - OO +7 Otley too good for Goole. MOTM OO recruitment team or back handers

Old Rishworthian v Yarnbury - +7 Yarnbury. Yarnbury should be too good for Old Rish even at home

LOL - ~look at OO's team sheet from Saturday and compare it to last years and even the years before, you may see 2 new players in the squad and a player that has come back after not playing for 8 years. We are a club built on a link with the Grammar school and with local lads and are truly the community club - so much more so than our neighbours up the road. The club is solely run by volunteers, from bar staff to kitchen staff.
"back hander" This is actually hilarious it would ever come up in regards to us. We aren't the ones paying students to come and play, which has being a running theme at Best park for a long time, all the way down to Yorks 3 :')

You're a sensitive soul aren't you Handy

I was starting to think you had forgotten about me crocadoodle :(
How could one forget the post MW1 tantrum  ;D

DrRuck

Posh Snakes vs Wotsits
Fear another long day on the road for the cheese mongers who look a shadow of their former selves. 'Gate +7

Fishermen's Friends vs Donny Dodos
Oh dear. Hull +7

Keefleh vs Seamen Demons
Fresh from the spoils of the seaside derby and working mens club respectively both sides will be full of confidence. Super Vets breaking out the deep heat now for another performance on the carpet. Keighley -7

Las Malvinas vs Baildon B
Fitness concerns raised regarding new signings, is there a money-back offer? King Kong and the other giants to grind out an attritional home win in front of the partisan crowd. Crocs +7

Old Olicanians vs Champions Elect
MOTD and a home win would throw down a big statement for the season, can the homegrown talent deliver? Would love to see them go 4 from 4 so they can release a film to one-up Ribbs BAFTA entry. OOs +7

Ri$hie$ vs Aladdin & Co
Battle of who has the angriest head coach? If Rishies don't get a result surely it's pressure on in the difficult run into Xmas with the imports looking at their winter sun options and Gabs looking for a new home, again... Yarnbury +7

DrRuck,

I thought the Ribb documentary was pretty good, with the added bonus of putting a face to the legend that goes by the name of, Flaggy.

Quote from: crocodiledundee on Oct 19, 2026, 10:09 AMSome interesting results last week, looking forward to another great week of rugby.

Harrogate Pythons v Wensleydale
Pythons picking up some good results, and a struggling wensleydale side won't get anything on the road. HP +7

Hullensians v Doncaster Phoenix
Going to be a very long season for DP, fair play to the lad turning up each week. Hull +7

Keighley v Bridlington
Have keighley turned a corner? Surprised me with a convincing result against WL. Think they will have too much for brid at home. Keigh +7

Old Crossleyans v West Leeds
Tough loss to take last week. But Crocs haven't lost in a long time at home, and I don't expect that to change. Crocs +7

Old Otliensians v Goole
MOTD. Could go either way and both teams are solid across the park. Will sonic be able to work his magic? Or will the goolies cause an upset on the road? Goole -7

Old Rishworthian v Yarnbury
Ri$h in panic mode? Yarnbury in good form. Only one way this result goes and rish to end the week with no points. Yarn +7

Panic mode complete. One Paul Gabriel in the team for tomorrow...

UpTheJumper

Pythons +7
Hullensians +7
Keighley +7
Old Cross +7
OO's -7
Yarnbury +7

Interesting to see the appearances on the OO's teamsheet this week. Should shut most doubters up. One player on 2, next lowest on 36 so a season and a half at least. Average appearances across the squad is 121 per player! I don't think I've ever seen anything like that before!

Upset of the season so far at Pythons, what happened there?

It was a terrible game to watch. Both sides squandered plenty of field position and made mistakes as the weather made execution difficult. The game devolved into a wet scrap and that suited Wensleydale more. The key for us was Pythons not taking the points on offer in the first half with the wind. Also missed a penalty to go clear towards the end and also a penalty to win the game with the last play.

I've not seen much more of a mental ending to a game though. Wensleydale scored to take the lead with 30 seconds to go, Pythons kicked off, reclaimed the kick off, gained a penalty, kicked at goal, the wind blew the ball so far off Pythons actually caught the penalty and kept playing before a knock on ended the game.

Goole only conceding 3 away at OO is a statement.

Rish away at Goole next week 🤣 Doesn't get any easier for the mercenaries.

Important win for Dale - results like that will keep them out of danger.

Crocs 25-0 up at half time game done. WL were a weighty outfit but still have issues with scrum.
