Malton and Norton vs Dinnington- M&M (W)

Moortown vs Selby- Town (W)

Morley vs Pontefract- Ponte could get something from this after last weeks result.

Old Brodleians vs Wath Upon Dearne- Brods (W) on the slope at Woodhead.

Pocklington vs Bradford Salem- Pock W- MOTD.

Cleckheaton vs Wetherby- I think this will be a tight game. Wetherby are a bad match up for Cleck, Cleck will need to rely on their knowhow to get anything from this game. I think Wetherby will win and set piece will be the difference. Wetherby +7

Malton and Norton vs Dinnington- Dinnington gathering some form, Malton in desperate need of a win. Tight game. - Draw

Moortown vs Selby- A good match up, Moortown will want to put last weeks first half behind them after an impressive start. Game of the day for me, Town to win. Town -7

Morley vs Pontefract- By all accounts that was the best Ponte have played in a few years last week. But they have lost their best player. Morley +7

Old Brodleians vs Wath Upon Dearne- This will be the type of game that Wath's big boys will relish. However backing Brods - Brods +7

Pocklington vs Bradford Salem- Pock by a few.

6 home wins for me this week

Cleckheaton vs Wetherby- going to go with Cleck to get their first win of the season. Looking at their team sheet over the last few weeks it seems there has been several changes.

Malton and Norton vs Dinnington - again, going for a home win with absolutely no confidence. Malton historically strong at home and they will be desperate to start picking up some points.

Moortown vs Selby - could potentially be GOTD. Two teams who I think will be in and around the top 4 at the end of the year. Hostile crowd to see the home team through.

Morley vs Pontefract- another good match up and Ponte look to have started well. Unfortunate injury to their best player last weekend. Backing the Maroons to get it done.

Old Brodleians vs Wath Upon Dearne- whilst Wath do have some big forwards, Brods are undoubtedly more of a complete team. Big win for Brods at home.

Pocklington vs Bradford Salem- good win for Pock last weekend whilst Salem were humbled. Fancy the more dynamic Pock to get this done on their home patch.

Cleckheaton v Wetherby – Cleck to finally get their season started with a win in a low scoring slog.

M&N v Dinno – A must win for both sides, with no confidence going for M&N but only because of home advantage.

Moortown v Selby – A high scoring game but Selby will habe too much forward power for Moortown. Bounus point win for Selby.

Morley v Pontefract – Morley to confirm they are promotion favourites.

Old Brods v Wath – Wath wont cope with the hill of doom, Brods to keep their perfect record by plenty.

Pocklington V Bradford Salem – Salem to have too much power for Pock, Salem bonus point win.

Cleckheaton vs Wetherby - Cleckheaton NEED to win this, and Wetherby probably need 2 points. I am going for a Wetherby win. Cleckheaton to capitulate under pressure. Wetherby -7.

M&N vs Dinnington - I think M&N in the wet and stormy conditions will go on and win this game, they don't mind big slow packs. M&N +7.

Moortown vs Selby - Weather going against both teams however I think if Selby are strong they win. Selby -7.

Morley vs Pontefract - League favourites to go on and win this at a canter. Morley +7.

Old Brodleians vs Wath - A game that will really be open to the elements and will be closer than all above think. Old Brods -7 and 4 points.

Pocklington vs Salem - Pock by 30 points here.

Cleckheaton vs Wetherby - Massive game for both, particularly Cleck. Home win just.

M&N vs Dinnington - Malton need this desperately but my money's on Dinno.

Moortown vs Selby - Selby should dictate up front but anything like parity should bring a home win.

Morley vs Pontefract - Always a bit of spice to this fixture. Ponte lacking experienced depth but do have some outstanding individuals. Draw

Old Brodleians vs Wath - Home advantage should see a reasonably comfortable home win.

Pocklington vs Salem - Salem capable but unlikely. Home win.

Looking at the weather forecast looking like it will favour forwards today

Cleckheaton vs Wetherby- As always backing my own team Wetherby win

Malton and Norton vs Dinnington- Nasty weather conditions might favour Dinnington but in a close game have to just favour Malton in a close one.

Moortown vs Selby- Think Selby have the better pack shame this game wasnt played at the start of teh season as would have been a cracker on a dry wind free day. Selby to get a very valuable away win.

Morley vs Pontefract- Anouther tough one to pick and not seen either side yet this season but going off last season going to go for Ponty in a forward mud fest.

Old Brodleians vs Wath Upon Dearne- Hard to see past anything other than a brods win here in these conditions.

Pocklington vs Bradford Salem- Pock to shove it up the jumper long enough to secure the points comfatable here could see them playing a very tight 10 man game and salem giving away too many pens at the break down when they get a bit over eager to get some ball

Had the pleasure of watching Brods v Watch, well wouldn't say pleasure. Elements got the better of both sides today.

Great defensive efforts from both sides due to the lack of width, think I counted 4 times where 3 passes were strung together without a drop ball.

But an entertaining finish with the scores being 10-10, Brods take 3 with 8 mins to go. Watch respond with a maul try, much to the home crowds groans, the peel apparently set a foot in touch.

5 mins to go and Wath zig zag to see the game out. Penalty to Brods, Wath marched back for backchat. Brods tap and string some tight phases together, penalty Brods, full time 16-15.

I presume Brods will be disappointed even with the win and Wath travelling back to South Yorkshire feeling hard done by.
