howzat

Hullensians v Bridlington - Cricket score for the home team, as the Bridlington capitulation continues.

Keighley v Harrogate Pythons - Interesting one, Keighley sent a young team to Wath and paid the price. I think this result will depend largely on if Keighley continue to look towards next season or rally the troops to try and secure a top three finish. Despite the run of defeats, I think they should have to much at home.

Leodiensians v Wath Upon Dearne - Wath to continue their run of form and secure an away win.

Old Rishworthians v Pocklington - Old Rish need a win here to try and avoid finishing in the bottom three and leaving their future in Y1 down to the whims of the RFU. However, Pocklington also need a 5 point win here to try and secure promotion... I imagine the outcome will be the latter, Pock to secure a 5 point win away from home.

Wensleydale v North Ribblesdale - North Rib to continue their victory tour with a convincing away win.

West Leeds v Beverley - I can see an upset here, A win guarantees that West Leeds are safe and Bev have nothing to play for. West Leeds to win a scrappy game.

Hulls v Brid – Comfortable home win for Hulls.

Leos v Wath – Closer game than league would suggest but Wath win.

Old Rish v Pock – Pock by plenty.

Wensleydale v North Ribb – North Ribb Comfortable win.

West Leeds v Beverley – Beverley if they are at or near full strength anything less West Leeds win.

Keighley v Harrogate P – Home win.

Hullensians v Bridlington - can't see anything other than a cricket score as Hullensians look to tighten their grip on a top 3 finish. Hullensians +7

Keighley v Harrogate Pythons - obviously a much changed side last time out for Keighley so not really sure what to expect on Saturday. We have to assume they'll want to bounce back with as strong a side and performance as possible for their last home game of the season so going to be a big test for us. In 3 games against Keighley this season and last we've been competitive in the 1st half and then fallen away in the 2nd so this will give us a good idea of how far we've progressed. Always back yourselves. Pythons +7

Leodiensians v Wath Upon Dearne - Wath will be looking for a win that probably cements a top half finish and caps off a great post-promotion season for them. Leos are limping towards the end of the season now and can't see them getting much change out of a powerful, organised Wath team. Wath +7

Old Rishworthians v Pocklington - a rare situation where Rish losing against Pock would probably do them more favours than winning! Rish don't look likely to get out of 10th place so their only hope will be Pocklington making it into the top 2nd place rankings to avoid 3 going down. Pock +7

Wensleydale v North Ribblesdale - should be a fairly regulation Dale derby win for North Ribb here who will have a field day out wide. Ribb +7

West Leeds v Beverley - interesting one this. You'd back Beverley at full strength in this one but they haven't travelled very well this season. They also have nothing left to play for whereas West Leeds will be looking to secure their place in Y1 with Ribb away coming up on the last day. Could be quite a high scoring game and backing West Leeds at home in a close one. West Leeds -7

Pockroach

Hullensians v Bridlington - 58-12
Keighley v Harrogate Pythons - 45-17
Leodiensians v Wath Upon Dearne - 20-25

Wensleydale v North Ribblesdale - 12-30
West Leeds v Beverley - 19-35

Confirmed. Having been in a situation ourselves this season where we had horrendous availability for an away fixture against a good side I have absolutely no sympathy for Brid at all. We patched 16 players together knowing we were travelling 90 minutes each way to get an absolute pasting by Ribb. Hopefully Brid can regroup in Y2 next year and sort themselves out as giving walkovers at this level is pretty pathetic.

As did ensians last year away to Wensleydale taking 16 players and one of them was a coach who hadn't played since an acl tear 18months before and had retired. Travelled 2.5 hours and got a pasting which they knew was coming. Thats 2 this year for hull Wensleydale and brid. I hope next year its doesn't happen again.

Too fat to be a back

From a Leos perspective, can I just thank all the doubters here that fueled the boys today. Can I also thank Wath! What a team and support you brought with you. Fantastic attitude from all (even the "grumpy old gits") we'll be sad to miss you next year. The game could have gone either way but the Leo's defence proving too much. But a game played in great spirits. A controversial red card for Wath gave Leos the upper hand come set piece time. But a great game to have been apart of!

Pock now the best points for any 2nd placed level 7 team in the country as the result of their result combined with Cheshunt in the south lossing so providing they pick up 5 points from their last league game they should go up alongside N. Ribb.
