Yorkshire show they are a shambles again

Two games both at Hull Ionians, U20s at 1, County Mens at 3
I would make sense that seeing as Hunslet RL have no home game that weekend, the Finals are played on Sunday

IIRC the County Cups used to be played at a ground that balanced out the travel for the teams involved. Obviously not an exact science but it did seem a fair method. Ionians is out on a limb for most of this Seasons participants. From experience, Finals on a Sunday are not as good as the Saturday.

There must be a member or two of the forum that have contacts on the YRFU committee?
Maybe they would like to post an explanation in the forum as to their rationale for both these decisions.......
Or are they all suitably embarrassed and unable to justify their decisions?

What's your beef with the YRFU??
Blaming them for everything including the date of this fixture, even though it has sod all to do with them.

Nothing ever is!

I am sure that the YRFU could have intervened and said this fixture clash was not suitable and needs to be changed, they didn't.
They obviously felt it was important enough to bring a past president in, blazer included, to award their cups!
I am guessing It was equally important for all the 8 teams taking part on the day to enjoy the day and win if possible.
But not it would seem for our current Yorkshire President.
I think it's a fair observation.
Unfortunately there are several other examples I can call upon from my own personal experiences with the YRFU, that do again show their judgement as lacking!
Anyway let's move on.
