Shiney my man - will you be at t'game today, or will you be in t'sunshine somewhere? If at Ripon, seek out "Champo" and there's a drink in it for you.

Sorry Locked only just seen this.
Yes, I was at the game (🤦🏻) but had to leave at final whistle. Will catch up with you next time.

Bastion

Locked out hope your player got to hospital ok , never nice to see , speedy recovery from everyone at Northallerton

Locked Out

Sorry I missed you Shiney and thanks Basto. A really nasty freak injury with a fractured neck of femur and dislocated hip joint. The sort of thing you'd expect an old codger of my age to get from falling out of a chair, rather than a fit 30 year old making his 1st XV comeback after a lengthy lay off with other injuries. "Lucky Dom".

He had temporary stabilisation surgery at Harrogate yesterday and is now in Leeds for fracture fixing. Suspect this may be the end of the line for his comebacks? The Ripon Rugby community will wrap its arms around him and help him recover.

Of the game, the score line suggests a one-sided affair, which it very much was not. Always a bother at scrum time, North pushed the Ripon pack to their limits and their close order support play took some stopping. Ripon just edged with pace out wide and sustaining momentum. A good defensive display by the hosts kept the clean sheet just - with at least three line crossings held up?
The new man in the middle had a good game I thought - penalties pretty even and a good communicator.

Looking forward to the rematch at Brompton Lodge.
