What's going on at Beverley? Have they struggled to retain some of their key players from last season? 0-4 isnt looking good, even for a bunch of prima donnas

When you look at their team sheets they have a good few players on hardly any caps so either colts or new players. One of them teams that you never know how they'll turn up on the day.   The last few years they have had a slow start to the season, I'm sure they'll be fine. Mid table I reckon.

To be fair they started last season 0-4 and then won 13 from 18 to finish 5th. Unless something has massively changed I think they'll start to climb up the table gradually as the season goes on.

Goole v Yarnbury - 2 sides I don't know a lot about but have started fairly well. Going for a slight home advantage. Goole -7

Harrogate Pythons v Beverley - a frustrating start to the season struggling for cohesion, particularly in the backs. We will have to execute better and cut out the errors if we want to start picking up wins. Beverley's poor start means nothing, they are more than capable of turning over anyone on their day. Always back yourselves though. Pythons +7

Hullensians v West Leeds - West Leeds will certainly punish any errors Ensians make and accumulate points but I think Hullensians will be too strong at home for most. Hullensians +7

Keighley v Wensleydale - 2 well matched packs but Keighley's backs to make the difference. Keighley +7

Leodiensian v Old Rishworthian - big match for both teams. Think if Old Rish travel with a strong squad they'll edge it. Old Rish -7

Wath Upon Dearne v Dinnington - another interesting match up. Dinnington unbeaten but edging close games, Wath looking strong and even more so at home. Wath to be the last 100% record standing. Wath +7

Locked Out

Goole v Yarnbury: Not sure about the Goolies, but they might have a bit of passion to get the home win. Goole -7
Harrogate Pythons v Beverley: A lot to play for, for both but Pythons to get the edge at home. Pythons -7
Hullensians v West Leeds: Title contenders v a club on it's way out? 'Ull +7
Keighley v Wensleydale: Despite strong upper half of table positions, think the home magic carpet will make the difference, plus the vociferous home crowd. Keefleh +7
Leodiensian v Old Rishworthian: One or other destined for Y2 again, again. Who wants it more? Leos -7
Wath Upon Dearne v Dinnington: Proper clash of the Titans with the first scrum having the gravitational pull of a small planet. Got to go with home advantage otherwise nowt but a fag paper between these two. Woff -7

Good game against Beverley today despite both sides missing a lot of players. Again a week where we didn't take our chances and that kept Beverley in it right until the end before 2 tries in the last 5 minutes sealed the win. A deserved win for Pythons though Beverley will be disappointed to come away with nothing.

Around the league huge win for Dinnington at the top. Not many sides beat Wath at home so a big statement made. Lots of high scores in the other games. Things not looking good for Leos though and, with a tricky set of upcoming fixtures, it's difficult to see where a win is going to come for them.

MagicCarpet

Huge comeback win for Yarnbury after a slow start. 24-0 down after 39 minutes. Yarnbury scored with the last play of the first half to kick start a great second half performance.
