Pumba

After a week off we are back to business this weekend and I think the table will close up a little bit this week apart from Pock in the top spot .

Town vs Brods - Town seem to have found some form and Brods seem to have had a few close games. Home advantage Town BP win

Crocs vs $alem - Crocs have struggled so far and Salem aren't doing too bad. Salem BP win

Pock vs Ponte - Only 1 winner here, Pock to carry on their winning streak.

Scabs vs Wetherby - 3rd vs 4th I think this will be close but Scabs will take the W with Wetherby getting a BP

Morley vs M&N - Morley will be strong at home against a average M&N side. Morley BP win

Selby vs Donny - Again only 1 winner here, Donny conceded 87 points at home in their last game so its fair to say they are struggling. Selby BP win

Crocadoodledo

Moortown V Brods: Comfortable away win if Brods pack are firing. Brods +7

Crocs V Salem: Crocs a way better team than the results this season suggest. Crocs +7

Pock V Ponte: Pock to walk this one. Pock +7

Scarborough V Wetherby: More then likely be a close game. Scarborough -7

Morley V M&N: Malton losing 3 close games in a row, may be a bigger margin this week. Morley +7

Selby V Donny: Less said the better. Selby +7

Moortown vs Old Brodleians - a tough test for both teams with Moortown recently winning and Pumba and Crocadoo both make good points. 4 points either side of a draw but a win for Old Brodleians is getting my nod.

Old Crossleyans vs Bradford Salem - I think Old Crossleyans will put up a fight but I am not sure they have enough firepower now salem have there new recruits. Bradford by 10.

Pocklington vs Pontefract - before the season started I would have said close game but it seems Pocklington are on a mission to go unbeaten which they will now have one eye on. Pocklington +7.

Scarborough vs Wetherby - More than likely it will be a close game but Scarborough will be back to winning way I think here, if it is wet and windy though it may suit a rugged wetherby vs a pretty scarborough. Scarborough +7 - if the weather holds.

Morley vs Malton and Norton - I can only see the break suiting Morley, I would guess injuries and financial decisions meant they didn't want to play in the Yorkshire Cup (why pay a few grand to your lads to probably lose to league above opposition) but they come back and win her. Morley +7.

Selby vs Doncaster Phoenix - Dead rubber and a chance for selby to get some of the wider squad out I would assume. Selby +7. By the way, I hope Doncaster can muster some form and become competitive again.

Broomfield Barmy Army

Moortown V Brods: Brods pack time of year this - kick to corner and maul. Stoke CitY FC

Crocs V Salem: Crocs suffering from a couple of key injuries and Salem avoiding PSR issues to bolster squad. Could be an away win

Pock V Ponte: Pock Win.

Scarborough V Wetherby: tight game. Could go either way. High scoring affair.

Morley V M&N: Morley win, too much for Malton but expect tries for the away side.

Selby V Donny: agree with Crocadoodledo - Cricket score

Hmmm, bit annoying they changed the fixture day/time multiple times before they decided to pull out though...

Moortown V Brods: Moortown seem to be picking up momentum but Brods will be too strong, game of the day and a high scorer. Brods -7

Crocs V Salem: Hostile Crowd will be out in force at Broomfield but Bradford will turn the screw on this occasion. Bradford but not by much.

Pock V Ponte: Pock. +14

Scarborough V Wetherby: Wetherby have come off the boil, hearing they have some injuries. Wont matter anyway. Scarborough back to winning ways. +7

Morley V M&N: Its a thinker. Mixed bag for both teams thus far, give the BoD to Home side. Morely +7

Selby V Donny: Agree with Crocadoodledo I'd put my mortgage on it.

Obviously I'm not within the 'inner circle' of Morley decision makers; however, this is a gross simplification of the situation and dare I say a case of inappropriate finger pointing.

FlankSinatra

Maybe a little jump to conclusions Jim but forfeiting the game and saving a four figure sum for the club is a smart decision so I would not blame them if this was the case. other clubs like north rib have cancelled too. how come the game was cancelled if it wasn't for the above? i appreciate you will not be fully in the know but what was the message.

old style prop

Moortown vs Brods - Brods having a cracking season so far and would expect them to take the points here

Crocs vs Salem - Salem seem to have picked up a bit with the return of a few of their league lads but think crocs at home will just edge it.

Pock vs Ponte - Based on seeing both sides play hard to see past a Pock win here.

Scabs vs Wetherby - Should be a great game providing the east coast weather gods dont through a spanner in the works, as normal backing our lads for the win and appoligise for not being able to attend the game as stuck away with work. Wetherby win

Morley vs M&N - Id expect Morley to be too strong for M&N especially at home. Morley win.

Selby vs Donny - Not seen donny yet this season but would be a big shock if this was anything other than a Selby win.

PocknRoll

Moortown v Brods - Brods to prosper and get the win.

Crocs v Salem - ever improving Salem to get the job done, BP win I think.

Pock v Ponte - Looking at the weather forecast, conditions might lead to a heavy pitch and a battle of the packs, going for a Pock win, but not as easy as some might think.

Scarbados v Wetherby - GOTD for me, think the home lads will get back to winning ways this weekend and re-ignite their push for promotion.

Morley v MnN - very impressed with the attacking rugby Morley produced at Percy Rd and for that reason I'm backing them to get a BP win.

Selby v Doncaster - if Doncaster have the same team out, it could be another big score, Selby by plenty.

ChipNchase

Moortown vs brods - Moortown +7
Crocs vs Salem - Salem -7
Pock vs Ponte - Pock + 7
Scabs vs Wetherby - scabs -7
Morley vs M&N - M&N -7
Selby vs Doncaster - Selby +7

#11
Moortown vs Brods - Some impressive wins for town in recent weeks, this accompanied with some fresh legs from south africa, id expect them to make it a good game. Still going for Brods as we mustn't forget they were 30 seconds away from beating pock, and would ultimately be the only unbeaten side in the league if they hadn't of had their pants pulled down by a 17 year old. Brods -7

Crocs vs Salem - Would have gone against the grain with this one, but after reading crocs have suffered some injuries, ill go with the bruisers. Salem -7

Pock vs Ponte - Hopefully Sangwin has his mind off going to the Christmas markets with the Mrs. Pock +7

Scabs vs Wetherby - Should be a great game. Both teams will be eager to get back to winning ways, favoring the home side to take the points here. Scarbs +7

Morley vs M&N - Fancy the home side here. Morley -7

Selby vs Donny - Selby by a few. Selby +35

Pockroach "I think you have confused South Africa with South Leeds Dear Boy"

Forty Twenty

Moortown V Brods: Game of the week for me - Moortown starting to get on a bit of a roll winning their last 2 where their defence has been immense in what i'd call a new style of town rather than just trying to score 1 try more than the opposition, however it won't be easy against the brods pack. This game last year very easily could've been a draw and i think that's what we could see this year. Try BP for both teams aswell.

Bonus Note: Pockroach no idea where you have got the idea of Town having south africans from as far as i'm aware it's the same squad they've had all season

Crocs V $alem: $alems money man to have too much for Crocs who are missing a few players by the sounds of it. Crocs need to start turning some of these close results into W's. Salem -7

Pock V Ponte: Pock to continue their winning ways here. Routine Pock +7

Scarborough V Wetherby: Another excellent contest - i reckon the Silver Royd faithful will be out in force in this one. I can see Wetherby causing some issues for Scabs but for Scabs to pull away in the last 20. Scabs +7

Morley V M&N: M&n very uninspiring last time out vs Town, i think Morley will have too much especially as they try and consolidate a top 5 spot. Morley +7

Selby V Donny: Another long day out for the Phoenix faithful. Selby by a Cricket score - (hopefully more than England managed on day 1)

backrowbandit

Moortown V Brods: Interesting fixture and very much backs v forwards. I think Moortown are on a roll and will be tough to beat at home. Brods will be without their first choice flyhalf for a number of weeks. I think Moortown might sneak this one.

Crocs V Salem: Crocs on form and at home. Bradford benefiting from some reinforcements. Crocs to win due to home advantage.

Pock V Ponte: No reason to believe this will be anything but a big Pock win.

Scarborough V Wetherby: Reading reports both teams are missing players. The heavier ground after all the snow might suit Wetherby better. Close game.

Morley V M&N: Morley will be confident that they should pick the points up at home against the league bad boys. The ref will be keeping an close eye on Malton after their recent 3 red cards in one match! 🤭 Morley should win this.

Selby V Donny: I haven't seen Donny yet but I doubt they will have enough against Selby. Should be comfortable home win.
Loving all rugby but especially at grassroots level.
