Morley vs Bradford Salem - An expense of riches on show here (I am sure Jim will come and let us know that Morley do not hide this) however unfortunately their honesty won't give them a head start on the scoreboard. I still think they win here, Morley by 10.

Old Crossleyans vs Pontefract - potentially the game of the day with 10th vs 11th and everything to fight for. I think Old Crossleyans get over the line and put Pontefract to the sword in the first half - nervily hanging on for a -7 win.

Pocklington vs Doncaster Phoenix - I'll save some time. Pock +50.

Scarborough vs Old Brodleians - an interesting fixture that I don't think will be as routine as people may make out, Old Brodleians are one of the three teams to have beat the Scarborough juggernaut. To mix it up - I am going draw.

Moortown vs Malton and Norton - Moortown are on a roll and are pushing for that top 5 spot now, things seem to be clicking and it is getting drier by the day. I fancy them to comfortably win here, Moortown +7.

Selby vs Wetherby - Selby are a top 3 team and look formidable at home. I think they win here with a try bonus at a canter. Selby +7.

Pumba

Morley vs Bradford Salem - Most expensive match up in the league. The question is how many cards for Salem this week?? Morley BP Win

Old Crossleyans vs Pontefract - I agree MOTD and I think if crocs win Ponte are almost certainly in the Relegation playoff so it is all to play for by both teams and I think it will be close. Crocs BP win -7

Pocklington vs Doncaster Phoenix - Pock by Loads.

Scarborough vs Old Brodleians - Scabs flying high and Brods struggle without the Hill, Last game they drew with M&N at home so could be trouble in the Brods camp. Scabs BP Win

Moortown vs Malton and Norton - Moortown are unbeaten in 2026 so far and have turned it around from the start of the season, Can they get into 4th this week with them still having to play the 3 teams above them it could get tasty over the next couple of weeks. Town BP Win

Selby vs Wetherby - I cannot see Wetherby doing much away from home on a dry track this weekend. Selby BP win

Oldandslow

Morley v Salem – Morley at home to get their playoff ambitions back on track with a bonus point home win.

Old Crocs v Pontefract – MOTD for me. Not a game for the folks who like flowing running rugby. Expecting a hard physical game,  that will need to be well refereed. If the Pontefract pack can match their performance against Morley then a Pontefract win.

Pocklington v Donny P – Regulation home bonus point win.

Scarborough v Old Brods – Scarborough to confirm their status a champions elect with a bonus point win.

Moortown v M&N – Expecting  a very close game but M&N need the win more.  M&N win but not by many.

Selby v Wetherby – A must win game for Selby if they want to make to promotion playoffs and a must win game for Wetherby if they want to avoid the relegation playoff. Home advantage to just make the difference Selby win but no bonus points.

Crocadoodledo

Money V $alem - Comes down to who has the better bank breakers. Therefore going for a comfortable Morley Win. Morley +7

Crocs V Ponte - Nice to finally have a unanimous MOTD. Crocs going for a 4th win in a row, whilst Ponte are in desperate need for a win to prevent a gap opening up in the league. Always a lively affair between these and normally a low scorer. Crocs +7

Pock V Donny - Donny were way better last week than I imagined them being, however I'm presuming normal service will be resumed this week. Pock to reach 100? Pock by 70

Scabs V Brods - Brods in free fall mode, as per in the new year. Scabs too good for them, especially at home. Scabs +7

Moortown V M&N - Can only see a comfortable Moortown win as M&N are punching slightly above their weight recently. Moortown +7

Selby V Wetherby - Too big of a pitch and not enough rain for Wetherby's 12 forwards. Selby's backs to run riot and make a statement win. Selby by plenty +7

Forty Twenty

Morl£y v $alem - The two big spenders go head to head. $alem walked away winners in the last clash between these two. Both teams have plenty of firepower up front, if $alem can keep 15 on the pitch (unlikely) they will be there or there abouts come the final whistle. Draw both try bonus point.

Crocs v Ponte - Easily MOTD - Crocs may not play fantastic rugby, but you can't deny they have a serious fight within them. On the postage stamp i think they'll overwhelm a generally poor Ponte side. Crocs to cement Ponte into the relegation playoffs. Crocs +7

Pock v Donny P - Donny P look to have had a mass return of players - i think at some point before the season closes they will get a win. However, today won't be that day. Pock +7

Scabs v Brods - The standard post Christmas fall off for Brods means they may be in danger of falling out the playoffs. The League Leaders have a hand on the trophy already and a win on Saturday will tighten that grip. Scabs +7 - a few mauls to get Brods a try bonus point.

Town v M&N - Town one of the form sides at the minute and M&N looking to stay clear of the relegation battle. Town to keep up their good form and pull through in a close affair. Town -7

Selby v Wetherby - Wetherby without a win since beginning of December and i can't see them getting one here. No rain, No backs - relegation play-off pending. Selby backs to have a field day against the Wetherby pack. Selby +7

SomecrapbackfromWestYorks

Super League vs NRL - Super league to come out on top in this regional 2 challenge.

Scarborough Vs OB's - Routine Scarborough win and league all title all but confirmed.

Selby v Wetherby - Selby to be as string as ever at home and a BP win over a heavy Wetherby side

Moortown vs M&N - Malton praying for rain I imagine and unless it comes off an easy Moortown win.

Pock vs Donny P - Donny will get a surprise result and could be this weekend depending which Pock team turns up and if Donny do have some players back, however should be a Pock win with BP

Crocs vs Ponte - tough one to call, I think discipline will be the key to this and maybe leaning towards the home advantage... Ponte to get the W just.

#6
Morley v Salem - If the Salem big hitters can silence the Morley faithful with their perfectly legal challenges, then an away win could be on the cards, or will it be a game decided by cards?  If the referee is influenced again this week then maybe.

Morley win for me in what will be a lively affair.

Crocs v Ponte - Another vote for GOTD, form would suggest Crocs and so would I. Ponte to push them close in a hard fought game.

Pock v Donny P - Pock win but no cricket score this time round.

Scarborough v Old Brods - Scarborough BP win. Have you had the "Champions 2026" T-shirts printed yet BRB?

Moortown v Malton - Town on a good run and I think that will continue tomorrow.

Selby v Wetherby - BP home win for Selby and Wetherby to shame Pock, Ribb and Scarborough further, by staying till last orders.

backrowbandit

Morley v Salem - Morley should have too much for Salem on their bigger pitch. Although it will be quite close Morley should get a BP win.

Crocs v Ponte - My money is on crocs in a hard fought game with lots of cards.

Pock v Donny P - Pock win but Donny competitive.

Scarborough v Old Brods - The pitch was perfect yesterday but Brods prayers have been answered with heavy rain today. A wet surface will be a leveller. Brods will be desperate to try and stay in the fight. Hospitality sold out weeks ago.

Moortown v Malton - If Town have a full squad it will be a big win. If they are missing some it could go either way. Town win.

Selby v Wetherby - Anything other than a home BP win would be a surprise.

Results today could, whilst not mathematically, settle some aspects of the league.

Range

Morley v Salem - should be sky sports box office this one for the money floating around... going with a Morley by 7

Crocs v Ponte - crocs to battle this one out but by less than 7

Pock v Doncaster - Pock by 40...

Scarbs v Old Brods - home win but Old Brods to pick up a couple of points.

Moortown v Malton - Malton never roll over, Moortown on a roll though. I'm going for Malton to silence the scaffolding boys by less than 7.

Selby v Wetherby - got to be a bonus point home win for Selby.

Legwill

Looks like a cracker at Far Moss - close 34-31 win for Town.

Gutted to miss this one - always a tight game v M&N.

Hell of a match at Silver Royd. Scarborough were hard in defence and ruthless in attack. The win was even more impressive as we suffered a red card after 10 mins (only one of the season I believe?) After a Scarborough try there was quite a big round of pushing and shoving - lots a pretty handbags on display. At the end of it all a Scarborough winger was, to the surprise of most, red carded. I couldn't see anything so I can't comment.

At that moment Scarborough were 5 points to nil down. They just knuckled down and blew Old Brods off the park.

Big crowd, everyone happy and jolly with the win. Seemed a very good calm referee.

Scarborough had a late try disallowed due to a tight foot in touch but ended up kicking a penalty to win the game.

20 points left on the table and 13 points ahead. Its ours to lose now BUT stranger things have happened.

Good tight win for Moortown sending Malton closer to the relegation playoffs.

Bradford gave it everything to run Morley close.

Ponte are fighting likes dogs in a pit and think that could be a very tricky away game for Scarborough in the run-in.

Pocklington BOOOOOOOOOOOO - that wasn't nice. Where was that against the big boys?  ;D  ;D  ;)

And finally a surprisingly close match at Selby. Wetherby close to pulling of a good away win. Wetherby away another very tough match for Scarborough.

Having looked at the fixtures left - at the bottom it is going to be very tight.

I think that the current 7th to 11th place could all end up on about 50 points (obviously will probably vary wildly).

In which case theres a lot to play for.

The Old Brods hooker looked like he was a good kicker 😉. Great to see both sets of players chatting away in the bar afterwards. Hope Old Brods touch judge made it to his appointment in time to review his monocle prescription 🤪

PocknRoll

Pretty much a carbon copy of the game earlier this season, I thought the result against Crocs and rumours of returning players might have made it a little more competitive, but I was one way traffic really.

Again, fair play to the Donny lads for turning up week after week and trying right to the end, good to see one of the more experienced forwards shouting encouragement to the younger lads on 75 mins.
