Pumba

Here we are down to the final 4!!

I will start us off this week with some good predictions.

$alem vs Crocs - Crocs are fighting for survival but I think the money men will be too strong for them at home . Salem BP Win.

Brods vs Town - Brods last home game was 34-34 against Malton, Have the wheels fallen off in the new year? Town are on a good run and having already beaten Brods this season I think they will do the double on them. Town BP Win.

Ponte vs Pock - Its hard to look past a Pock win here but they have been a little bit up and down and they haven't been doing too well away from home. This one will be close and I am going for Ponte Win with Pock picking up a BP.

Wetherby vs Scabs - Regional 2 North East Champions to be cemented this week with a BP win.

Donny vs Selby - Selby fighting to stay in the play offs and Donny fighting for at least 1 Win this season, I hope they can do it but can only go for a Selby BP Win.

M&N vs Morley - Morley have had a few questionable results and close calls for a team that sit in 3rd, is the pressure getting to them. Malton were strong last week and I can see the same again this week but they will be on the other side of the result. Malton BP Win.

Crocadoodledo

$alem vs Crocs - $alem never a pleasant or easy place to go. Crocs will likely have their 9 back this week after missing the Ponte game last minute, which always makes a big difference. Crocs -7

Brods vs Town - Brods being without a win in the last 4; the wheels must have fallen off. Moortown on the other hand with only 1 loss this year and that was to scabs. Surely a town win, but with Brods to get a couple of maul tries down the hill, to keep the coaching team happy. Town +7

Ponte vs Pock - Ponte's 10 ran the game last week at Crocs but apart from that it was more due to Crocs poor display rather than Ponte being good. Pock to have a relatively comfortable win and solidify second. Pock +7

Wetherby vs Scabs - Wetherby much like Brods are in the trenches it seems. Maybe they should start less than 12 forwards. Scabs by plenty, to be within 1 game of confirming the title. +7

Donny vs Selby - Donny back to usual ways last week. Depends which Selby team turn up, could be a 20 pointer or could be a 60 pointer. Selby +7

M&N vs Morley - Could do with Morley splashing a bit more cash and do Crocs a favour winning this. Imagining a tight game. Morley -7

Blessedhooker

$alem vs Crocs - Over 3.5 Cards, Crocs to win the battle upfront and keep the MoneyMen at bay.

Brods vs Town - Town will beat on a Brods that have settled for the year.

Ponte vs Pock - Pontefract could win this but they are so unlikeable on the pitch they will probably lose the ref and the game.

Wetherby vs Scabs - I thought Wetherby result last week looked promising for them as of late - However I think Scabs have that winning mentality and will go on and win this comfortably. Weth over 1.5 Tries

Donny vs Selby - If they play on Knights pitch Selby will be fitter and too skilful. Selby over 60 Points

M&N vs Morley - Seen as though Norton are at Home I'll give them a punchers chance. I don't think this will be the prettiest game. M&N to win by less than 5 points.

Brad Salem v Old Crocs –  Salem at home will have too much for Crocs. Bonus point home win.

Old Brods v Moortown – Moortown one of the form teams since  Christmas to win a close game.

Pontefract v Pocklington – Pontefract at home never easy to beat and I'm taking them to overpower Pocklington, home win but not by many.

Wetherby v Scarborough – Scarborough regulation win.

Donny P v Selby – Selby bonus point win.

M&N v Morley – M&N bonus point win.

Brad Salem v Old Crocs –  This is a proper.old fashioned relegation slog. Crocs results are a bit up and down. Bradford remain hard to beat at home. I'm going for Salem to win a close match.

Old Brods v Moortown – Brods are effective from 5 yards out and if they are able to create plenty of 22 opportunities they will keep the scoreboard ticking. Moortown are more free flowing and they will definitely run in some tries. This has a draw written all over it but I'm going to stick my neck out and go for a cheeky Moortown win.

Pontefract v Pocklington – I've been worried about Scarboroughs trip to Ponte for some time. I'm sure Pock will think the same. Whilst Ponte have the muscle to match Pock, do they have the pace to run in lots of tries? I think Pock will have too much.

Wetherby v Scarborough – I recall at the beginning of the season my tips for the top end were Morley, Pock and Wetherby. To begin with all three were up there. Wetherby have dropped off in recent months. I'm assuming they lost players to injury etc.. Their league position only looks so bad because it's so tight across a number of places in the league. They will be fighting for a win.

Donny P v Selby – Hopefully a competitive match, but Selby with a BP win.

M&N v Morley – This match is a nod in support of the playoffs. Morley fighting for a good promotion play off spot and Malton fighting to avoid the relegation play offs.
I think Maltons desire to avoid relegation will be stronger than Morleys desire for a better play off spot. Plus Malton are at home. So I'm going home win.

Bradford Salem vs Old Crossleyans - Both sides are used to a tiny pitch so could be an attritional affair. I fancy Salem here to win by a comfortable margin. Salem +7.

Old Brodleians vs Moortown - An almost impossible one to predict however I think Old Brodleians at home might just have enough to see them through. If they can stop the Moortown momentum then I think they should have enough quality to get them there. Old Brods -7.

Pontefract vs Pocklington - If Pocklington can get up for it then I'd fancy them to win this comfortably. Pontefract might roll over if Pocklington get on top early. Pock +7.

Wetherby vs Scarborough - Scarborough home and dry now with the league and I think they'll look to wrap it up formally this week. Scarborough +7.

Doncaster Phoenix vs Selby - Selby +7.

Malton and Norton vs Morley - I think Morley might just come unstuck vs this Malton outfit and I am going to side with a home win. Morley seem to be up for local games but their Match Fee doesn't seem to stretch past the M62. Malton -7.

PocknRoll

Salem v Crocs - Difficult one to call, a contender for GOTD with what's at stake, regarding the relegation playoff. Salem home advantage to get them over the line in what should be a close, narky affair with a few yellows shown for good measure.

Old Brods v Moortown - Town have hit form at the right time of the season, while Brods seem to be struggling. Can only see a Moortown win to maintain their playoff position.

Ponte v Pock - Ponte come into this game on the back of two decent wins and will be tough to beat at home, Pock to win but not by as many as the game at Percy Rd.

Wetherby v Scarborough - Routine BP away win for the Champions

Doncaster v Selby - BP Selby win and move into the playoff positions

M&N v Morley - GOTD for me, another difficult one to call, Malton to sneak it...just.

$alem v Crocs - Another MOTD for Crocs (what is going on) The money men will be looking to secure their place in the league and will be targeting this fixture. If they can keep 15 on the pitch at Shay Lane they should have to much for Crocs. If Crocs make it a mess it will be close. $alem -7

Brods v Town - Town unbeaten in 2026, Brods seem to be struggling. I think this will be closer than people have predicted especially on the mountain. Town to get over the line in a high scoring affair. Town -7

Ponte v Pock - Ponte in a decent bit of form and are picking up points at the right time, Pock however, are second for a reason and will want to cement the home play off fixtures. Pock +7 Ponte TBP

Wetherby v Scarborough - Scarborough (not mathematically but may aswell open the trophy cabinet at Silver Royd ) to win the league tomorrow against the 12 forwards. Wetherby in real danger. Scabs +7

Donny P v Selby - I think we all want Donny P to get a win at some point. Not going to happen this week. Selby +35

M&N v Morl€y - M&N ran town close last weekend and back at The Gannock I can see them nicking this one in an attritional affair. M&N -7

Can I just give a quick maths lesson to those who say that Pock will win tomorrow and that Scarborough will win the league tomorrow.

That is mathematically impossible!

Im back home from Hospital now with new mechanical heart valve fitted and hope to be back down the club before the end of the season but this saturday pushing the recovery a bit too fast so my appoligise to Scarb supporters and players for my absence and not being able to welcome them to Grange Park.

Brad Salem v Old Crocs –  close game just favouring Salem at home.

Old Brods v Moortown – Again going for home adv with a Brods win.

Pontefract v Pocklington – Have to stick some away wins in to prediction so going for Pock here

Wetherby v Scarborough – As always backing our lads to get the points here and hopefully start to pull us away from the end of season relergation dog fight.

Donny P v Selby – Selby win.

M&N v Morley – Morely to get the valuable away winning points in a close scrap.
