A few tasty match ups this week:

Beverley v Old Rishworthian
Dinnington v Leodiensian
Goole v Keighley
Wath Upon Dearne v Hullensians
West Leeds v Wensleydale
Yarnbury v Harrogate Pythons

Grasser17

Bev vs Old Rish - is the great escape on for the beaver boys ?  Old Rish are on form ATM but after a long drive over the county I think the hosts might just take it. Bev-7

Dinno vs Leos - Host by a lot. Dinno +7

Goole vs Keighley - narrow home win. Goole -7

Wath vs Hullensians - the hosts to match their South Yorkshire counterparts. Big home win. Wath +7

West Leeds vs Wensleydale - the visitors have probably lost their agricultural muscle now Spring is finally here. West Leeds +7

Yarnbury vs Pythons - the visitors aren't fully out of the relegation battle just yet and I don't think this week will help. Yarnbury +7

Ribbflagman

After a 90 point Tupping last week. Think in form Rish will prevail.  What on earth has happened at Bev. They ran us close twice at their place for most of the game last season. Rish +17

Dinno by lots and lots.

Keeflah to regather some lost respect in what has been a (by their lofty expectations) a rather disappointing season.

Woff by nearly as many as Dinno. What the hell has gone wrong at Hullensians.???

West Leeds plus a few (more than 7 )

Big Yawn to have too much for our depleted pals from Pythons Yawn +7

The Glove Mans Predictions

Beverley vs Old Rishworthian - I do not think this will be as big of a walk over as table positions might suggest as Beverley have a lot to play for with a great escape on the cards. I think beavers will push Rish quite a bit and will make Rish play there best possible footy especially with beavers home record being strong. However i think Rish will have too much for them over the full 80 minutes. Rish +7

Dinnington vs Leodiensian - HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH. Leos are Shit. Dinnington by a cricket score. Dinno +700

Goole vs Keighley - Has the makings for a good game however, Sometimes maybe good, Sometimes maybe shit. Sums up Gooles season. Depending on which Goole leaves the changing rooms this could be a decent game. Keighley are handy but are far from unbeatable. Going with logic and due to home advantage playing a small factor Keighley in a close one. Keighley -7

Wath Upon Dearne vs Hullensians - Oh dear oh dear. Between Dinno and Wath this week as for and against become important to both parties at the top, it is really not gonna be a fun time for Hull either. Hull are lining up for another flogging, that may lead to another cricket score. Wath +700

West Leeds vs Wensleydale - Could be an absolute belter of a match as we saw Wensleydale suffer a massive loss last week in front of there home support. I expect them to bounce back in a big way. Running off recent results of the same opponent being Rish, with West leeds getting the win in copley last week and Dale coming away with a draw on home turf i just am not convinced they will pull it together on the road especially. West Leeds -7

Yarnbury vs Harrogate Pythons - Yarnbury coming of a momentous win last week and i see that continuing this week, especially on the carpet. Harrogate have not been playing very hot footy and i envision Gate still snagging a few tries and will be aiming for a bonus point if possible, however not really worrying the hosts in the end. Yarnbury +7

Summary
Few good games, few floggings and a few important match ups. Good round and come 5pm on Saturday could be able to spell out the final standings of the comp.

Yours in Rugby,
The Glove Man

Butterfingers

Beverley vs Old Rishworthian
Feels like Beverley might make home advantage count here. Rish probably won't get things all their own way.
Beverley +5

Dinnington vs Leodiensian
Wouldn't be surprised if this is tighter than people think. Leos might have a bit more about them.
Leos +3

Goole vs Keighley
Goole at home are always a bit unpredictable. Could be one where they edge it if they click.
Goole +6

Wath Upon Dearne vs Hullensians
Hullensians will keep this competitive for longer than expected. Could turn into a bit of a scrap with Wath looking complacent recently.
Hullensians +2

West Leeds vs Wensleydale
Wensleydale could respond after last week. Rumours they're up for this week and likely they will travel well.
Wensleydale +7

Yarnbury vs Harrogate Pythons
Harrogate might quietly put something together here. Could see them nicking it.
Harrogate +4

Hey mate,

Thats got to be the 6 worst takes in the history of rugby. I assume this is a joke, if not please seek help.

Hope this helps.

Kind regards,

Hi Glove Man,

Assume you're not talking about my predictions?

Hi Mr Butterfingers,

Sorry for the miss communication. If i was not clear enough i can confirm i was in fact talking about your picks.

If Hull beat Wath and Leos beat Dinnington i will personally hand deliver you King Charles knob in a easter hamper as well as my fingerless gloves.

Kind regards,

The Lurker

Beverley v Old Rishworthian
Probably the toughest one to call this week, Bev will get a BP or two but I'll back the trainspotters to take the win OR +7

Dinnington v Leodiensian
Long afternoon for Leo's I fear, Dinno will be keen for five points at home to stay level with woff. Dinno ++7

Goole v Keighley
A couple of teams who have had had mixed results this season and probably will be disappointed not to be challenging the top two. Goole too strong at home but again expect the travelling team to pick up a BP(s) Goole +7

Wath Upon Dearne v Hullensians
Can't see past another cricket score for the (joint) run away league leaders, hoping 'ull can keep it respectable. Wath ++7

West Leeds v Wensleydale
Could be a similar challenge for Wensleydale this week, their big pack vs a more potent back line. I gather they've got the mullet brothers back for this one too so expect them to be more competitive but WL will steal a win -7

Yarnbury v Harrogate Pythons
Another tough one, the plane spotters never seem to play well against Harrogate 3's but if they can take the big hooker out of the game I expect they'll have too much firepower out wide on the carpet. Yarn -7

cheekscracker95

leos tend to start strong so could see them scoring a couple of times in the first half.
defensive bravery and effort levels in the second half will be key to maintaining a respectable scoreline

Proper Prop

Beverley vs Old Rishworthian
Bev to turn Rish over +7

Dinnington vs Leodiensian
60+ easy for Dinnington +7

Goole vs Keighley
Goole will have more than enough to beat this lot +7

Wath Upon Dearne vs Hullensians
Hullensians in for a hammering against the best team in the league. That coming from a Pythons coach and fan !!Thought they were excellent against us last week. +7

West Leeds vs Wensleydale
West Leeds just -7

Yarnbury vs Harrogate Pythons
Pythons just in a high scoring affair -7

Butterfingers

Only one point off on the Pythons result!

Yarnbury 21 - 24 Harrogate Pythons
Dinnington 64 - 24 Leodiensians
Goole 35 - 20 Keighley
West Leeds 43 - 10 Wensleydale
Wath upon Dearne 48 - 10 Hullensians
Beverley 20 - 19 Old Rishworthian

The Lurker

Took myself off to watch the plane spotters vs pythons today, well done to the pythons for their win but please accept my apologies to both sides on behalf of the YRS for Graham's pantomime performance. The going in the pocket to bring out his hankie instead of a card is embarrassing on top of his ignorance of the laws of the game. We've got some fantasic young refs coming through who should be given the opportunity to ref Y1 games instead of someone who is completely out of his dept at this level.

Unfortunately it's an old joke that only he thinks funny!
