Slight change to the leagues that were announced last week and apparently these are the leagues for the 26/27 season but I'm not holding my breath;

Yorkshire 3A

Burley
Hornsea
Rowntrees
Skipton
West Park Leeds
York RI
Pocklington 2s
Scarborough 2s
Morley 2s
Wetherby 2s

Yorkshire 3B

Barnsley
Castleford
Halifax
Hemsworth
Maltby
Ossett
Rotherham Phoenix
Moortown 2s
Old Brods 2s
Pontefract 2s

Some nice local fiery derbies in both leagues, interesting to see how the 3 promoted teams get on, I think Maltby in particular could surprise a few teams (I'm pretty sure I said the same about Dearne Valley last year 🙄).
Hornsea have like always got some travelling to do but at least they have some games that are reasonably close this year.
Be interesting to see how the 2's get on I for one don't mind the 2s joining the league but I just think the way it's happened is wrong.

even though the leagues are official yet my prediction for the top 2 in each league is Scarbs 2's & West Park Leeds in A and Hemsworth & Halifax in B

Multifrontrow

Im also told these are final.

Ill go
A)
Pock 2s
Skipton

B)
Maltby
Halifax

Unless Harrogate have withdrawn i suspect there may be a further change.
"Bother!" said Pooh, as he found his smack had talc in it.

We played Harrogate 2s towards end of season, I asked their coach who was unsure as they have struggled for front row. They didn't want to be a team that cried off due to lack of front row. When we played them in merit championship their hooker and  2 props did a full shift, so fair play to them.

Hello Yorkshire 3.....I'm looking forward to contributing to this board now that Scarborough Vikings have been placed into this league.

It looks a really good league with a good mix of teams and locations.

I think that the club 1st XVs in this league will be the most likely to be the main runners and riders. With the best will in the world, 2nd teams will probably not have the same level of consistency of selection that the 1st XVs do.

However, basically who cares! It's just good we all know what's happening and hopefully more rugby will be played by more senior men.

Loving all rugby but especially at grassroots level.
