Dropped It

Looking forward to this new league set up tbh! Lots of new teams I've never played to go and visit. Bet those 2nd team boys can't wait to be up at Vandals in January!

What everyone else think?

On a side note good luck running the predictions league Locked Out!

Some strong 2nd teams coming into this league. Will be interesting how those 1st teams in here already manage

Yeah think it will take a few seasons for everyone to end up where they should be.

Locked Out

Some excitement and trepidation in equal measures. Agree with Dropped, that venturing to new places is always a bonus, even if they are a long way to go!

On the predictions league - it will be double the work, but I shall give it my best shot and hopefully we will get a few more punters joining? I will have retired by the time the new season comes around, so got bugger all else to do haha.
.

Love away games

Just looked into mileage that we will have to do this year, and we are at 480 miles of traveling for our first team.  Average away game at 44miles away.

Extra travel for West Yorkshire teams in 2A is eye watering

Looks like Bees are pumping money in - no matter who their playing

I think the YRFU have forgotten to consider another main aspect of including 2nd & 3rd teams in the league structure,  namely that of referees.
There are many refs who just enjoy a run out with non league rugby on a Saturday and will be thinking about whether league rugby,  even bottom level will be for them.

That is a very fair point.
I suspect there will be an increase in Disrespect/MOA too.
"Bother!" said Pooh, as he found his smack had talc in it.

Just seen the latest updated league setup for next season. Yorkshire 4A has only ten teams but 4B which includes us has 12 with Goole 2s included. Surely common sense will prevail and put Goolies in 4A to reduce travel, even the leagues numerically, giving all clubs 20 fixtures. Its a far cry from the 26 the heirarchy promised everyone but at least it treats everyone with a bit of respect and equality. Any more news from teams that have been entered into the league structure without applying????
Things might have a bit to run yet, lets wait and see.

I was talking to a Referee admin last week. They struggled to cover the League games in West last season once a referee or two carried injuries. He had no idea how they would deal with the extra fixtures.

Goole have probably being put in B to keep the leagues at even numbers and apart from going to North Ribb it's probably easier and shorter for Goole to go straight across the M62 to West Yorkshire then to the likes of Whitby and Richmondshire. Hessle in 4A have some of the longest away trips in the county this year. Both Goole and Hessle should really but in 4C but the line has to be drawn somewhere.

not even numbers as it stands with A 10 teams and B 12. Which is the point i am trying to make
