Don't disagree about the size of the leagues, 14 team leagues should have been put in place this season whilst allowing 2nd teams into the leagues.

Lots of different points have been made across this, I was only highlighting that putting a ban on players who have played 5 games for the 1st XV doesn't work.

       its a complete shambles. Here we are in the middle of pre season training etc and yet nobody knows what the rules will be. Or maybe its that the powers that be (Mr Connell and Mr Morgan) still cant cook something up that will not adversely affect Rishies. It really is astounding the lack of communication to all clubs involved on what is a seismic decision to the clubs involved.
I really am sorry that the people supposedly in charge of our game at county level simply feel that they cannot communicate to the clubs affected on what the rules will be. It may be the case that once they reveal their thoughts/rules, that some clubs may actually pull out of the system leaving more chaos than the uncertainty we are now facing. After all we were promised 14 team leagues but one league has actually been reduced to 11 . How the f*** does that help any clubs sustainability.
I would ask Mr Morgan to explain but I know the silence will be deafening!!!!!!

Why should teams like Sheffield 2s and Heath 2s be allowed to swap in/loan players from a league that is 4/5 levels higher when the other sides in the league have to stick to the 2 league rule?

How can you possibly run a league that has totally different rules/laws for some teams but not others?

The whole thing is a disgrace Morgan and co should resign now

I understand everyone's frustrations in association to players from ones dropping into the 2s from
Nat 1/2 however as players they can only play what's in front of them.

Teams in Y2 have players that have played higher levels and we don't know what availability those teams will have on a weekly basis so judgement can't be passed until the end of the season occurs

In relation to promotion & relegation  to offer more finances behind the bar at clubs I'd complete a play off system

1st in both league go up automatically then introduce a play of system from 2nd -5th in both side with a final play off allowing 3 teams to go up with a cross league play off!

That would allow extra gate/bar money for those teams.

And repeat a relegation play off system for the bottom 3 in each league!

This allows teams to filter up and down

With 3 coming down from Y1

Or even introduce a play off between 2nd in both league against 3/4th bottom of Y1

It would seem you didn't pay attention to the farce the play offs at R2 were.
As for increased revenue. Can you explain how a team finishing 5th increases revenue over costs?
Do you honestly believe a team finishing 5th deserves to go up?

Back in February the RFU predicted there would be walkovers. They were right, but the Competitions committee wouldn't listen.
