So - our first league match is now away at Scarborough, the East Coast's only Holiday Inn. Shame I'll miss it, as I'm away on a golf trip in Northern Ireland. A good test for both sides I think.

The return match is the first of 2027 and we will arrange some extra pissoirs for BRB and his pals.

Not sure what we're doing on the 5 spare Saturdays we have before then. Can't help think that not for the first time, the RFU have got it completely wrong.

Driffield now face Alnwick away for the opening weekend.

Following the sad news of the sudden passing of Martin Straker ex Driffield man and key man at Alnwick it will be an emotional day for both clubs, with 2 of his nephews in the Driffield side.
