Whispers from the Driffield festival yesterday suggest a number of Scarborough players have been touting themselves around to the highest bidder...

Apparently two have already approached another East Yorkshire coast club.

Maybe the expenses need increasing to boost their love, loyalty and commitment to the Scarborough Foreign Legion. 😉💷

No baiting — I was shown the WhatsApp thread, and luckily I happen to have the player as a contact. I guarantee it's genuine.

I'd start looking through those contracts. I also had a chuckle when one of the players mentioned that two of the new members of the Scarborough Foreign Legion had been in contact with other Yorkshire clubs.

One player is after a new challenge and told us he's retired. He'll probably end up captaining York or venture back to Malton. Who knows!

Oh no.... we're in real trouble.

Not entirely believable, someone wanting to leave a great club like Driffield and go play at Scabs. Unless, of course, the amount of money being thrown their way was too attractive to say no. Which is quite likely.

For clarity because BRB loves Driffield signings as much as I love Scarboroughs excessive recruitment drive.

From last years 1st team a Flyhalf has returned to Brid, 2 backrows retired and a prop returned to AUS

Replaced by a Flyhalf, 2 backrows and a prop.
