Good that the season is rolling and that the 2nd set of fixtures are here.

Looking at the league, you look at every fixture thinking its going to be a good game. Really strong league this year.

Dinnington Vs Selby - Both teams with an opening L, will want to put that right. I don't think anyone had Selby getting beat last week. Dinnington will be tough to beat at home. Selby in a close one -7

Malton & Norton Vs Ponte - I can't see Ponte turning Malton over on their own patch, M&N wanting to bounce back. Malton +7

Moortown Vs Wath - Moortown off to a flyer, dismantled Salem by all accounts. Wath although they had 100 points last year, they seem to be a little unknown. Moortown to deal with the big lads and have another emphatic win. Moortown +7

Morley Vs Salem - Salem will be better this weekend, but not good enough to beat Morley. Morley +7

Brods vs Cleck - Brods will be delighted with last week, not many will get anything from them at home.. Brods home win +7

Pock Vs Wetherby - Pock to bounce back with a home win, but I don't think they will have it all their own way. Pock -7

Grasser17

Dinno -7
Malton -7
Moortown +7
Morley +7
Old brods -7
Pock +7

One could own assume maybe discipline as it's Cleck. Most of this league is yet to experience the fine dark arts of Cleck, you think teams like Moortown are bad wait till you see Cleckheaton!

Think you may find that it's a very different team to the one you've come across previously.

I've travel around of lot of clubs in my time particularly West Yorkshire, the club I have experienced the most hostility at was Castleford

My team keep it clean and classy thank you very much - the Moortown boys do not posses the need that other teams rely on, to revert to "dark arts"

This is true, maybe it's why they aren't as good anymore 🤷🏼♂️

Pumba

As Yorkshire Pud said there was some shock results at the weekend and there could be more this weekend.

Dinnington Vs Selby - Selby losing away to wetherby was interesting and dinno running ponte close, I cannot see Selby doing well at Dinno for their 1st Home game. Dinno +7

Malton & Norton Vs Ponte - Malton had a shaky start under new coach Triffit, Should be better at Home. Malton -7

Moortown Vs Wath - Moortown with the highest points against a bang average $alem, Same again this weekend against a newly promoted Wath. Town +7

Morley Vs $alem - $alem have The power house Conor Wood back this week but I am not sure this will be good enough. Morley +7

Brods vs Cleck - This one could get tasty Cleck ran Morley close and Brods had a good away win at Pock. Brods -7

Pock Vs Wetherby - Pock at home again for redemption in front of their home crowd. Pock +7

Oldandslow

Dinnington v Selby – Home advantage to jus make the difference, Dinno but not by many.

M&N v Pontefract – If the Pontefract pack take control then a regulation win for Ponte, if not a very close game which could go either way.

Moortown v Wath – Moortown but not by many.

Morley v Bradford Salem – Can only see a comfortable home win.

Old Brods v Cleckheaton – The heavy woollen derby and for me MOTD. Just think Cleck will have too much for Brods.

Pocklington v Wetherby – Pocklington to get their season back on track with a comfortable home win.

ponte animal

Dinnington v Selby – Impressed with Dinno last week, sizeable pack, quick out wide and an experienced fly half. Judging by Selby's result, I fancy a comfortable home win.

M&N v Pontefract – Tough place to go for Ponte but if they can get partity up front, might sneak it. Very close either way.

Moortown v Wath – Another close one. Wath used to winning, with an experienced old head running the show at eight. Home advantage to win the day with no confidence.

Morley v Bradford Salem – Routine five point home win.

Old Brods v Cleckheaton – MOTD. I expect much changed Cleck to improve in time but this difficult fixture to come up too soon. Home win.

Pocklington v Wetherby – Home win, despite an eye catching result for Wetherby last week.

old style prop

Dinnington Vs Selby - 12 months ago this game would have been a level 7 V level 5 games with people expecting a cricket score, well done to Dinn on their improvement but think Selby will be looking to bounce back after last week and take the points - Selby in a close one

Malton & Norton Vs Ponte - Not much in it between these two last season and suspect the same will be the case this time so going with home adv. Malton win

Moortown Vs Wath - Would expect Moortown to take the points here unless Wath can turn the game into a forward fest. Moortown win.

Morley Vs Bradford Salem - Cant see many sides taking points away from a trip to Morley this year and BS looking to do their usual slow start to the season before getting upto speed. Morley win.

Brods vs Cleck - My recomendation for game of the week for any neutralls taking Brods to just edge a very close game. Brods win

Pock Vs Wetherby - Supporting our lads as normal - Wetherby win

Gooner Gaunt.

No doubt my side will show wath the path (back to Yorkshire 1) #gooned by gaunt
