Quote from: BigDong on Oct 09, 2026, 10:10 PMWatched Moortown both games this year. Very poor and will be caught out very soon by more experienced sides. As usual the town will drop off and bottle it like every year. Boring team coached by inexperienced coach. Would rather watch Leeds medics.

thank you personally for paying £7 to watch Town dismantle Wath last week.

Feel free to come again tomorrow and have a beer on me.

Hi Luke. Would be great to have a beer with you tomorrow. I am not a fan of the club I'm supporting a relative (Sheridan) happy to be proven wrong by town but I do feel history will repeat itself. Luke maybe you should have a go at coaching as I don't think the current coach is the right man for the job.

Thoroughly professional performance today from Morley to bounce back after defeat against Salem. Free flowing attacking rugby and solid defence kept Pocks willing runners at bay and provided the platform for a very welcome 5 points.

Not sure Pock will be too happy with the ref though after receiving 3 yellow cards in the first half  :o. I do think the standard of refereeing at this level leaves a lot to be desired, inconsistent applications week after week don't help teams.

Accurate assessment of the game, couldn't agree more 👍

Have Moortown taken inspiration from Scabs with all their Saffer's, or are you going to tell us Moortown is now a tourist hotspot?

There's never been anything inspiring about Moortown so they had to get it from somewhere.

Bit of a mean comment. I assume our several international and county players must have found their inspiration elsewhere 😊

I agree with Oldtimer and can see why some/many would have an issue with how they saw the game was managed by the referee.

However, I would put forward a different perspective.

Pock were warned/advised by the referee to get out of the tackle/ruck area more quickly.

Their 9 was 'told' inside 10 minutes he had done it twice!

It is about time a ref applied the laws!

Too often as happened today we see a side 'coached' to slow the ball down, to clear out beyond the ball, to interfere with the play of the ball etc.

It is about time ref reffed the laws.

Obviously I am mindful of materiality and contextuality, however today Pock were told repeatedly to 'clean up' their game and they didn't.

Morley benefitted from it.

I think Morley had enough to win the game no matter what Pock did, they simply made it easier.

Nevertheless the scoreline does not reflect how close the game was.
