Thank you, I follow selby but a general rugby fan so I just keep an eye across the leagues etc!

Quote from: Ponte Warrior on Oct 30, 2026, 05:47 PMNon taken Oldproplad. It's a genuine question. It's a good indicator that they've played at a decent level. We had a lad last year, who's played over 270 games at the top level of league and he was bang average at union. We're working hard behind the scenes at Ponte and hopefully creating the right environment where players want to come down and bring their families and stop for the long term. It's about creating the right mix on and off the pitch.Good luck for tomorrow, whoever you follow.

Completely agree, an impressive League career does not always transfer into Union success.

It is more about the player snd dare I say their 'attitude'.

We've had some excellent converts but also some for which its not worked.

Headshot

Salem +7
Dinnington -7
Ponte +7
Selby -7
Wath -7
Wetherby +7

Bradford Salem vs Cleckheaton-Salem to take advantage of been at home. Cleck will come good though at some stage.

Dinnington vs Moortown -   Close game, Moortown to win, but only just.

Pontefract vs Old Brods  - Size of the pack an issue for Ponte but no lack of effort and talent. Have a feeling they will sneak it but could be heart ruling the head.

Selby vs Morley - Two good, well drilled packs. Not the very best back divisions what I have witnessed but fancy Morley just.

Wath Upon Dearne vs Pocklington - All games shopuld be tight, its a great league. No different here, a good test of Pock's promotion credentials. Draw

Wetherby vs Malton and Norton- Wetherby to continue the drought for Malton.
