I visited Morley this weekend, game was pretty much one sided, Morley's fowards dominated every scrum and lineout, making it easy for Morley's backs to play their own game, Skipton's forwards looked defeated after their first scrum (within the first 5 minutes), this isn't the normal Skipton I've seen, scrum wasn't up to scratch and looked like they were half a sleep (heard that they were a lot of players down in the forward which would explain a lot, by the looks of it one or two key backs who you normally see playing weren't there), don't know why or how Skipton do this but look unbeatable at home, when it comes down to away games they look completely out of place and disorganised they looked lost today, about  5 players of their team were there to compete and the rest were in another planet, feel like if Skipton played how they do at home every game they could be top 3, Morley extremely good at the basics and some good hard runners, forwards always coming into the back line running hard lines and creating space for the backs out the back, just all in all very good basics and drilled well. Going to be a battle between West Park and Morley this year.

Up the jumper with top score of 12 this week. Anyone know why Moortown hemsworth was abandoned?

Close game across in Leeds with Scarborough just edging it to leave burley the only team not to win after 6 games,
Hornsea with a strong win against Rowntrees to push them in to the top 4.
Morley with a standard win to stay top against Skipton, are the Skipton boys scared of leaving the local area ?
WPL are waiting for Morley the slip up and claim that 1st place after another big win.
Pock getting the job done in the dales,
Good Wetherby win or is the Yorkshire 3 honeymoon period over for RI ?

We have next weeks games then finally a break week. So teams will probably want that more than others

Serious neck injury - don't know anything more though.

Hope they are ok.

Multifrontrow

Great game up at North Ribb yesterday. Pock near enough at full strength with maybe 3 missing but had a few back from injury.
Looked still on the bus for the first 20 mins but after that really grabbed hold of the game
Great ref also
Ribb 2s a solid side with some very good tackles and jacklers and a decent back line who knew how to move it at times.
Look forward to them coming to Pock

The wife made me take the caravan down to Herringthorpe, while the kids were out stealing patio furniture in Clifton I managed to watch some of the wonderful yorkshire level rugby once again. My, I have missed seeing the tattoos, pre game menthols and overweight benefit cheats having a waddle out onto the pitch.

However, i was witness to some extraordinary scenes this weekend as Rotherham once again wheeled their veteran loosehead out of retirement, presumably after discovering that the RFU still hasn't introduced a maximum age, waistline or penalty count.

The big man didn't disappoint, although apparently his back is now too weak for a full game at front row and has decided to take refuge in the 2nd row.

He rolled back the years.

Unfortunately, he rolled them back to a time when collapsing a scrum, lying on the wrong side and entering from wherever you fancied were apparently legal.

By the second half, the referee had penalised him so frequently I assumed the whistle was connected to some sort of loyalty scheme.

Still, you have to admire the longevity. Most props eventually hang up their boots.

He hangs them up every fortnight and then puts them back on again.

See you next Saturday, or possibly the Saturday after depending on retirement status.

Word on the street is that the young robust ex-captain is thinking of making an appearance now his concurrent red card bans seem to have elapsed and there is sufficient budget from the tuckshop to keep his palms laced with fredos. should be an interesting few months down at Phoenix Park
