yorkshire representative on RFU

All,
     it appears that Joe Bedford has resigned his position from the RFU council which leaves a vacancy. I tried to be proposed at the last election but we didnt get the email and so I was unable to apply until after the deadline date. I only found out about this yesterday and would be willing to stand on behalf of the Yorkshire clubs. The problem is that the deadline is 11.59 tomorrow lunchtime.
Our secretary has nominated me but I need a seconder from another club to progress. Any club willing to second me would be appreciated within the required timescales. If successful rest assured I will have the best interest of ALL Yorkshire clubs at heart.

Did you get a seconder for your nomination? Sadly my official rugby roles ended some years ago, but I had hoped you would be successful as you would ginger things up, I suspect.
On playing matters I see you have signed a couple of well-travelled lads who I remember playing for Grasshoppers some years ago. Hope the investment is worth it.

        yes proposed and seconded so will be in the mix somewhere. The two lads you refer to are both good friends with some of our squad and dont fancy long trips Northwards next season. Only investment promised are a couple of polo shirts so no big risk. Only big Polos required!!!!

Good job they wouldn't let you go into Regional 2 North then if they don't like going "northwards."
