The team that impressed me most last year was Wetherby. If they have retained all their players and maybe added a couple I suspect they will be serious contenders.

I can see a very similar season to most others in this league in recent years with very little difference in standard between the majority of the teams.

I think Scabs will be up there and agree Wetherby will fancy their chances. My team Ponte continue to be in a transitional phase. No noticeable out goings but equally no major incomings. A number of colts blooded last year which will play a part this year. A very healthy set of backs but in need of a a bit of grunt upfront. That said, never an easy game against Ponte so looking forward to the new season.
Added bonus - Renew our rivalry with local rivals Selby

I'm expecting another season of close games.

Think Scarborough will be favorites for promotion, if Pocklington have retained most of their squad from last season think they will go well.

I think it's a bit of a fool's game to make predictions before the season has even started. There are just too many variables at play. Teams often lose key players over the break and bring in new signings, which can change the dynamic entirely. Early-season availability also adds uncertainty. Last season's form might offer some insight, but it's far from a reliable guide, and pre-season friendlies are hardly definitive either. It's shaping up to be a long, tough season, full of tightly contested matches and a few surprises along the way. Best of luck to all involved.

This will seem like gamesmanship but that's very optimistic for Scarborough. We have no new players and have lost two who have gone/going travelling, a few going to uni, one returned home and one who's gap year has ended.

We will have a decent starting 15 but will be very susceptible to injuries and unavailability - much the same as last season.

I can definitely see Morley and Wetherby up there.

Moortown have spent £150,000 on Facebook advertising - Carl feels part of my life now his voice pops up often on social media, so I guess they will have new players.

Malton seem in transition so that can go either way.

Pock will be dark horses.

I could go on.... As usual whoever we expect to do well, never do!

I did wonder if Scarborough had signed any new players. I guess you answered that. Expect them to be fit and well drilled.

I hear Moortown are in a transition, they will be blooding a fair few colts and starting to plan for the future.

Morley, according to their social media seems to have been on a big recruitment push. I expect them to be up there.

Salem have had the cheque book out again, with rumours that the RL boy$ have been cleared to play.

For Wetherby, last year they had a great post Christmas run. Expect them to be up there.

The last one to mention is Selby, I appreciate they've lost a few players but let's not forget how strong they were when they went up.

The exciting thing is, I don't see any "weak" teams. Should be a cracking season with all types of twists and turns.

Can't wait for the Colts to go up against the Bradford Bruisers.
