Pythons 59 - 15 Leos
Dinnington 52 - 9 West Leeds
Goole 24 - 0 Wensleydale
Wath 47 - 0 Old Rish
Hullensians 22 - 13 Keighley
Beverley 22 - 29 Yarnbury

Good start for the new teams and probably a few bigger scorelines that predicted. Any feedback on any of the games.

Frustrating first 50 minutes for Pythons as a combination of unforced errors and penalties kept the scoreline closer than it should have been. When Pythons found their rhythm though it was one way traffic. Definitely a positive start though given the amount of absentees for Pythons. I believe Leos were similarly struggling, best hope they get some back soon otherwise could be a long season for them.

Too fat to be a back

Harrogate surprised us is an understatement. Great game, penalty count saved us first half but Harrogate's youth and fitness showed through at the end of the game. Much to work on at Leos! Well done Pythons look forward to the return match at the end of the year.
Shock for me was Yarnbury turning Bev over. What happened there? And Dinnington keeping the win streak alive. Great result for the promoted teams.

Having faced both Dinnington and Yarnbury last season neither result surprised. Dinnington were frighteningly good last year and very well coached. Expect them to follow North Ribbs example. Yarnbury's lightening quick back line will win them a lot of games and the warm dry summer we have had will help them through September. Expect them to struggle more away from home when the weather turns as they are not the biggest pack and tend not to dominate teams but they will be very hard to beat on the 4G pitch at home and will comfortably survive their 1st season back in Y1. Good Luck to all teams.

Yarnbury score incorrect on RFU.

Yarnbury kicked a penalty to win 29-27 with the last play of the game. Great result for us to win away at Beverley first game back in Y1.
