Superb win by Selby yesterday, well done to them. It gives them control of their own destiny now.
A tough ask away at Alnwick next week maybe the key, if they can go Scunthorpe and win, then they should be able to do the same at Alnwick although two extra hours on the bus getting there, will need to be catered for in their preparation.
They will fancy their chances against an indifferent York at home on the penultimate game of the season, so the last game away at Blaydon could be a dead rubber.

I cant see PP picking up any more points this season unless Cleck and Driff are on the beach when they visit.

Blaydon should beat Sandal next week, who were slightly worse than York yesterday. But they are leaving it very late as I cant see them getting anything at Scunthorpe, but with both those teams probably needing 15 points from the last games of the season, i can imagine several kitchen sinks being thrown around.

Huddersfield are breathing heavily down Scunthorpe's neck and I think they will take 15 points from the last 3 games and on paper have a potentially an easier run in.

So who ever can hold their nerve at both ends of the table could well be decisive.

Potentially a great end to the season in prospect, possibly going down the last whistle on the last day.
Have no fear of perfection, you'll never reach it."

Selby will be safe now. Great turnaround, well done.
Loving all rugby but especially at grassroots level.

Bold call, either thinking Blaydon and Percy Park won't win another game or that Selby are going to have the job done prior to meeting Blaydon on the final weekend?

On their current run of form (7 game losing streak) Sandal will be hard pushed to beat Blaydon on the plastic pitch. So for Selby to be safe they would need to beat Alnwick and York over the next 2 games to make the Blaydon match a dead rubber.

Not saying they can't do it, beating Scunthorpe clearly shows it's possible. But that would be some achievement to beat those 3 sides on the bounce.

So maybe alittle premature to start congratulating them on survival with 3 points separating the bottom 3

Saturday's surprising results mean that the two north-eastern clubs look most likely to go down, especially as Selby are producing some shock results.

Blaydon should account for Sandal next week, but away to Scunthorpe on the 22nd looks like a big ask. It might make their last game at home to Selby a very interesting fixture. I think they might be on 36 points prior to this.

Percy Park have a tough run in, away at Cleck and home to Huddersfield and then finishing at Driffield. Maybe only another 4 points in total, ending with 36.

On their current form, I can see Selby taking 4 points against Alnwick and maybe even York too, meaning they would go to Blaydon with 42 points in the bag and safe.

With how close things are at the top and at the bottom it just shows what a great league this is and anyone can literally beat anyone in this league on their given day!

Agreed, think previous years we have seen better individual teams (Billingham for example) but have also had sides at the bottom that couldn't compete.
This season the has been competitive throughout
