Rochdale are now effectively promoted although not quite mathematically.

Had the league still been 14 teams I might have fancied Wetherby to sneak up on them but they won't quite have enough time left to do it. If they hold onto their players they will be title favorites for next year.

And its goodbye for now to Goole who are relegated. Malton, Doncaster and Old Crocs are now fighting to avoid the drop.

Crossleyans aren't far off being top of the 11th place team rankings so could still be a reprieve for whoever finishes 2nd bottom if they can all finish the season strongly. If Pock get promotion as one of the best 2nd place level 7 teams and Crossleyans get a reprieve as best 11th place level 6 teams what would that mean for league numbers? Because that would be 2 teams out and 3 in.

Would it not mean a level transfer as the two coming down from R1NE both go into R2N?

I have no idea as it's so complicated 🤷🤷🤷. I'm not blaming the RFU, I'm just saying the various permutations make it complicated!!

As it stands with Percy Park and Blaydon coming down that would be easy. If Selby came down in that scenario then that complicates things greatly.

It should be clear at the start of the season, shouldn't take a spreadsheet to work out who goes up and down.
