Locked Out

Hello anyone out there, I have had the privilege of Moderating this group bestowed upon me and happy to pick it up unless anyone else has strong feelings or wants to do it. Although approaching the end of the season, a few tasty league games left as well as a cup final.

This coming Saturday:

Thornensians v Leeds Corinthians: Any thoughts other than a big Corinthians win here +7
.

Oldandslow

Going against league form I'm hoping for a bonus point win for Thorn so they have something to build on for next season.

Years ago when I played Thorn were a major force in South Yorkshire rugby and I never won there. Makes it hard to think Thorn could be in the bottom tier of Yorkshire rugby next season.

Flaggy

I agree I can remember going to watch a Yorkshire cup semi final there in (I think) 1980ish they just lost to a star studded Sheffield side about 9-3. An unbelievable fall through the leagues since beginning in NE1 along with Rotherham, Wharfedale Bramley and Ripon.
FORMERLY Ribbflagman.

Locked Out

Good point Flaggy and having played pre-leagues and pre-merit tables myself back in the midlands, it's amazing how few of the then so called "senior clubs" are still in the top flight. Local to me were Moseley (Now Birmingham Moseley), Coventry and Nuneaton. We used to play and regularly beat Worcester, who went on to become Worcester Warriors and they went bad ways after enjoying a few years' success at Six Ways. Ups and downs, swings and roundabouts.

Thornensians v Leeds Corinthians

Corinthians have gone from promotion contenders, to what appears to be a struggling side, is this due to rugby league starting?

I feel this is not going to be their week again,

Thorne need this win, if they have any hopes of staying up.

 Thorne to win

Thorne Vs Leeds Corinthians.

Tough one, one on a freefall (good job its end of the season) the other fighting relegation.

If its the same referee as we had last week against LC, then I can only see Thorne winning.

Leeds keep their head they win!
