Not too much left to play for in terms of the league rankings other than 3rd/4th place and 6th-8th place. All eyes on Pocklington though and whether they can secure a best runner up spot. Does anyone from Pock have all the scenarios laid out? Would be interested to know what results to look out for on Saturday.

Beverley v Bridlington
Harrogate Pythons v Leodiensian
Hullensians v Keighley
North Ribblesdale v West Leeds
Pocklington v Wensleydale
Wath Upon Dearne v Old Rishworthians

Beverley v Bridlington - should be a big home win but hopefully not a walkover this week. Been a good season for Bev after a horrendous start, should be well placed to push Keighley and Hullensians next year. Beverley +7

Harrogate Pythons v Leodiensian - a much better season for us as we acclimatise to level 7 rugby. We were clinging on by our fingertips this time last year scrambling to put a squad together as back to back promotions caught up with us. Hopefully on track to double our points tally from last season, secure a mid table finish and have a platform to build on next year. Leos have always got a good game in them though so going to be a tough game to finish on. Pythons +7

Hullensians v Keighley - a cracker to finish the season with Keighley needing 4 more points on the day than Ensians to leapfrog them into 3rd. I think Keighley's power up front will cause Hull real problems but home advantage is a huge factor here. Going for Hullensians -7 in a close but high scoring game.

North Ribblesdale v West Leeds - with nothing to play for for either side this should be a comfortable home win to see out an unbeaten season for Ribb. Could see West Leeds getting a try BP though if they give it a proper go. North Ribb +7

Pocklington v Wensleydale - great season for Pock and it would be criminal if they don't get rewarded with promotion. Should be a comfortable home win here. Pock +7

Wath Upon Dearne v Old Rishworthians - great season for Wath as they look set for a top half finish. Rish with everything crossed hoping for a Pock promotion to spare them. Comfortable home win though. Wath +7

I hear big money offers have been made to two North Rib players from a neighbouring club???
Loving all rugby but especially at grassroots level.

New to this, better late than never!

Beverley v Bridlington-Been to beaver park a couple of times this season not seen brid play yet but by looking at league position. Bev +7

Harrogate Pythons v Leodiensian-Pythons on the up and looking to build for next season, opposite for leos. Pythons +7

Hullensians v Keighley- MOTW for me in the bronze medal decider I think it may come down to who misses their RL stars the most. Hull +7

North Ribblesdale v West Leeds- Try fest in the dales. Sun expected to shine as are Ribbs impressive backline Long day for WL. Ribb +77

Pocklington v Wensleydale- Routine home win to keep their deserved promotion hopes alive. Pock +7

Wath Upon Dearne v Old Rishworthians- Home field advantage in the concrete jungle. Wath +7

Don't be surprised if Cleve roll over with Clifton IIs winning. If that happens, they both get promoted.

Beverley v Brid – Heart says a very close East Yorkshire derby with Brid signing off in the league with a win and give them something to build on for next season. Head says a comfortable home win for Beverley.

Harrogate P v Leos – Leos to leave the league with a win and have a platform to build on for next season.

Hulls v Keighley – Hulls to win with a bonus point.

North Ribb v West Leeds – North Ribb to end a perfect league season with a win in front of a large crowd.

Pock v Wensleydale – Pock to end the season with a large win improving their points difference but suspect other results will be arranged so they don't get the promotion they deserve.

Wath v Old Rish – Close game but with home advantage giving Wath the win.

Beverley v Bridlington – Can't see anything other than a Beavers win. Bev +7.

Harrogate Pythons v Leodiensian – Hopefully, Too Fat doesn't get his knickers in a twist when I go against Leo's this week. The weather will suit both teams and make for a great game. Pythons -7.

Hullensians v Keighley – High-scoring game, with Keighley to come out on top. Keeth -7.

North Ribblesdale v West Leeds – North Ribb to finish the season unbeaten. A great achievement if they can get over this last hurdle. Ribb +7.

Pocklington v Wensleydale – Pock +7.

Wath Upon Dearne v Old Rishworthians – Wath to sneak this one. Wath -7.

Locked Out

Bev v Brid: One way traffic predicted and looking forward to warmly welcoming Brid to Y2 next season. Bev +7

Pythons v Leos: Not so similar story, though Pythons doing enough to get out of the danger zone and looking forward to welcoming Leos back to Y2 next season. Pythons -7

Ull v Keef: Neither side with much to play for apart from pride and bragging rights but can't see Keefleh doing enough to leapfrog the hosts. Ull -7

Champions v Westies: Nothing can stop the march of Flaggy and co onwards and upwards. Just hope the balcony can stand the strain of the Mexican waves. Ribb +7

Pock v Dale: Potentially the most hard done by second best team in the country will be up against it with Westies with nothing to lose. Pock +7

Woff v Rich: Can the nouveau Rish cause a scare at the cabbage patch to finish their rocky season on a high note ? Erm... no. Woff -7
.

One way traffic here for the Beavers. Hopefully Brid will turn up  Bev+7

Close encounter here with Leos just taking it -7

Keighley fallen away a bit and Hull very hard to beat at home Hull -7

Champs to finish season on a high although with six changes to recent selections might not have it all our own way. Having said that Ribb to win with a fair bit to spare before we begin to party Ribb +7
Pock +7 Fingers things out of their control go their way.
Wath to finish off Rish +7

FORMERLY Ribbflagman.

Pock promoted I believe? If so, massive congratulations and well deserved!

Looks like North Ribb and Pocklington up. Leos and Bridlington down.

Joining the league Goole, Doncaster Phoenix, Dinnington and Yarnbury.

Edit: looks like Doncaster Phoenix have got a reprieve so won't be getting relegated. That should mean Leos get a reprieve as well.

Went down to beverley vs Bridlington yesterday probably one of the best sides  brid have put out all year and made a real fist of the match helped slightly by beverley been slightly off the pace but still getting the job done beverleys 10 had a poor game missing 4 pens for touch and generally choosing the wrong options or forcing passes that wasn't on in the end though beverley just had too much for them 40-13 good luck to all teams in the upcoming cup matches

Great finish to a fantastic season yesterday, an under strength West Leeds were very plucky and looked dangerous especially their right winger, with the ball in hand, but our lads were not to be denied, I think, a well deserved victory to cap a remarkable run of 38 league wins on the trot.
24 - 5 at the interval we ran away in the second half with some impressive tries to finish 66 - 5
Great night with loads of locals helping us to celebrate. Great day for our community.
Congrats to Pocklington who I am being told have secured promotion. Very Well deserved.
FORMERLY Ribbflagman.

Too fat to be a back

Great game in Harrogate yesterday, especially for Leos.

Harrogate battled well right until the end, some suspect ref decisions gifted Harrogate a try instead of a knock on but the game played in good spirits and great to see some old faces kicking about.

Leos mainly young backs made some great to watch rugby and the old boys of the team bolstered up the grunt work, ending with probably the coldest showers I've ever been in, certainly cooled the boys down after a sunny 80 mins.

As for relegation/promotion I understand there's a meeting on Tuesday to decide the leagues fate so watch this space, hopefully Leos stay up in Y1 but we'll accept our fate what ever the outcome.

Cheers flaggy, appreciate that! A few rumours flying around at the minute that ypu guys are pushing to get into the west league. Would definitely be good to stick around this way and have another proper go next season. All the best!
