Quote from: backrowbandit on Sep 25, 2025, 05:32 PMVery surprised at Pock..

I think the other two are struggling but Pock are flying.
Injuries and unavailability have hampered us unfortunately not to mention the two concussions we had on the weekend after some questionable tackling that was overlooked.

Best of luck to those representing R2. Would love to be attending silver royd, im sure it will be a cracker of a game.

Were you playing away by any chance?

Quote from: Jim on Today at 02:19 PMMorley and M&N are also using the YC to bring through new players.

On another point, the YRFU must see the status YC wither in front of their eyes, you would think they would adapt to this new reality.

May I suggest as I'm sure others have that instead of a 'draw' for fixtures that they localise games.

Each round of the YC you would play the club nearest to you, rather than travel anywhere around God's county.

You would het a better 'buy in' from clubs if YC Round 1: Heath played Rishes, Brods v Crocs, Cleckheaton v Morley and so on.

Just sayin'.
They tried that, didn't work.

Acklam v Beverley - HWO

Baildon v Harrogate Pythons - never an easy fixture away at Baildon. Been a while since we played them so not really sure what to expect. Always back yourselves though. Pythons +7

Goole v Hullensians - if both sides were at full strength I'd probably back Hullensians here. I just have a feeling that Goole might be more up for the cup though. Goole -7

Ossett v Ripon - Ossett at home are always strong but Ripon have loved a cup run recently. Going for home advantage in a high scoring game. Ossett -7

Roundhegians v Bridlington - if Bridlington travel at full strength I think they would take the win but I think the league might be their priority so backing a home win. Roundhegians +7

Wath Upon Dearne v Keighley - should be a cracker. I can't see Wath losing many, if any, at home this season though. Wath +7

Wensleydale v Leodiensians - Dale at home will be too strong for Leos. Dale +7

Driffield appear to have done the same, 5 debuts and feature 2 current colts and 3 of last years under 18s.

Scarborough resting several and several away.
But a brilliant opportunity for several exciting colts to make their debuts.

Acklam v Beverley  HWO apparently
Baildon v Harrogate Pythons - tough one to call , Baildon just -7
Ossett v Ripon - Always back yourself Ossett +7 - see you tomorrow Lockers
Roundhegians v Bridlington  - Brid -7
Wath Upon Dearne v Keighley - Wath stopped the juggernaut that is Dinno , so Wath just -7
Wensleydale v Leodiensians - no idea , log way to go so Wensleydale +7

Hope everyone gets their rugby fix , enjoy one and all

Game at scarborough if both teams can get out anything like a decent 1st team should be a cracker and good indication of the gulf this season between upper end of NE2 and lower end of NE1. I think york might struggle away from home and likely to be resting any slight niggles but with scarb sensing a big scalp and at home think they will be closer to full strengh so backing Scarbs to do us NE2 boys proud and get a win.
