Yorkshire 3 / Re: Y3 door charge etc..

We will have to charge a small fee if we cannot get fixtures dovetailed at your place BRB!! Think it is not unreasonable to charge say £2/3 entry. That will make a massive difference to the likes of us who regularly get 400 - 500 watching our Stags team. Thats the only way we can afford a coach to Scarbados.!!!!

Dr Ruck,
you really should stop either smoking or inhaling illegal substances. It does you no favours and as most drug addicts you seem to be hallucinating with fantasy comments. Please respond when you have gone through "Cold Turkey" and are capable of a sensible conversation. I await your response with baited breath.

Mr Shorts,
you know its all downhill from just outside your workplace. Maybe 7 minutes max. Maybe 10 minutes back after a gallon of your beloved Lady Jane !!!!

Quote from: Ribbflagman on Jun 08, 2026, 04:58 PMThanks Guys. I really hope common sense can prevail with long trips like Scarborough. With Ilkley being our nearest game we will be travelling courtesy of Northern Rail and a five minute walk from the station, or £750 for a bus. Its a no-brainer.
All our other away trips will be in excess (average) of £1000 a frightening thought for us simple Dales folk.
I'd love to be able to take only 5 minutes from Ilkley Station, Flaggy !

The only place I went last season in Yorkshire 3 that charged for entry was Wheatley Hills, they had a programme and charged £5 to get in.

A couple of other teams did digital programmes but no one else charged for entry I believe.

Yorkshire 3 / Y3 door charge etc..

Our of interest, do clubs make a door charge at Y3 and if so what is the normal/average charge?

Do most clubs print a programme?

Is there pre-match hospitality?.

We just want to fit in....

It's being 4/5 days since the league last changed teams. Surely it's time it changed again 😂

Pleading poverty doesn't really wash when one of your Player Coaches has been shooting their mouth off about their £400 p/w remuneration, simple Dales Folk, really...?

Quite a statement that Dr Ruck, we only have one player coach and certainly doesn't get that sort of coin

Coach travel to away games is an unnecessary extravagance if a club is cash-strapped. Ripon used a 24 hour 15 seater minibus hire for the away game at Bridlington for £250 plus fuel with two cars for those who couldn't stay out to play. No brainer. Plus the opportunity for those who dared, for a night out in Scarbados. Living la vida loca!

Quote from: backrowbandit on Jun 08, 2026, 08:41 PMThere's also no requirement to go on a coach. Settle to Scarborough is a 200 mile round trip. At 30p a mile (which more than covers fuel) 6 cars totals £360.

Or hire/borrow a minibus.

I'm only throwing out suggestions to save money. We use both of the options above for all teams - as well as some coaches.

Never understood the need for a coach every week. Convoy of cars, couple of pit stops on the way back, passengers get their driver a drink each, sorted.
