From a Scarborough perspective and purely a personal point of view - that seems pretty good and about right.

Without knowing the wider issues of other clubs, it looks like the competitions committee/YRFU have done a pretty good job of a hard situation.

Well done 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Check out Halifax Vandals, Baildon and Bradford! See if they agree.

What the hell is this? Our 2's struggled to fulfil our fixtures last season and now we're in Yorkshire 4? No-one consulted us about this. Instead of merit leagues just throw every team into the leagues? What a joke.

A good job? Are you joking? Our 2's have been struggling and even eventually removed from the merit leagues for not fulfilling fixtures and the solution to that is throwing us in Yorkshire 4 to play against a load of 1st teams, with zero consultation I should add.

Sticking a few 2nd XV's into the leagues to round it up to 14 team leagues I could stomach. Sticking the entirety of the merit tables into 10/12 team leagues is ridiculous.

If my understanding is correct, then your Club Secretary has to complete the application to join the leagues by the 29th May as a final confirmation. If you don't want to be in the Yorkshire leagues then don't complete the application and I assume your Club's 2nd team will no longer included.

Your Club Secretary/Chair can also speak directly to the Yorkshire RFU Chair.

Locked Out

Hear hear Old Man and anyone else - if you don't apply now the leagues have been proposed, you won't be in. That though, will create even more mismatches if clubs don't enter 2nd XVs. Plus, where do they go to get games - will the merit leagues still exist?

I wasn't commenting on the wider implications and other clubs circumstances.....simply that it seems generally ok.

Someone had to have applied. Well, according to the rules, but we now know they don't mean mutch.

As a committee member myself I was sat with the chairman and fixtures secretary when the news broke. First any of us had heard of any of it.

In what way?

Having seen the leagues proposals this morning. Personally think alot of teams are in the wrong leagues,
I follow Pock and their 2s finished 3rd in the merit league but have been put a league above Selby 2s who finished 2nd with a strong season
Its needs some sorting out really.
