We received a "reminder" today to send in the application form by Friday for 2nds to join the league.

None of us have a record of the supposed original request for a form to be submitted. Is that an internal issue at our end or have others found the same?
Loving all rugby but especially at grassroots level.

There was a letter attached to the email with the new league structure.
I can only assume it was a copy because it highlighted the cut off date of 1st April, although that date is the Reg 6 rquirement.
I'm not aware of any other letter.

We've just been re reading the latest letter. We're of the opinion that if a club doesn't respond then they won't be included.

I disagree with this comment maybe the odd cricket score results however Y2 was competitive last season.

Players in the 2nd team aren't world beaters or would be in the first team 20.

Realistically in the scrum you're going up against 5th/6th choice props and 3rd choice hookers against well drilled front rows in Y2 1st team squads. That won't be an easy task.

All it takes is a few injuries to 1s players then 3rd teamers will have to step up which is a big jump.

Heath 2s not even in the merit league prem. Sheffield 2s were unbeaten in that league so stand a good chance sandal mid table and Sheffield tigers had a shocking season. I know it's a new year but no world beaters teams and it's all about that day and the team around them.

I'm More interested in how many go up, 1 from each league or a play off system
