Alf Hearted my old son.

When we meet remind me to give you your backside back.

A leaking boat mate that's for sure and I believe you have the same trouble.

Cost us a few bob with that winning bonus but if we have any money left we may just chip in for some repairs.

No hiding from that result. Cas played the game perfectly and we got on the wrong side of the ref. Tiny was exceptional from the boot and kicked 8 kicks out of 9 and punished every penalty we committed, 1 try to 0 but we have to learn discipline wins games and today was a perfect example of that. We will hopefully learn and move on, no complaints here. Some big old results elsewhere!

I suggested that the rubbish talk would wind you up more than it would us. Intimidation on the field only gets your team so far but hold back the retaliation, keep the discipline, respect the referee and man up to it and good things happen.

Just for the benefit of doubt Alf nut,

With all the money we are splashing about do you honestly think we would go to Lock Lane for our player pool?

Fev Lions mate, that's were the money needs spending! hang about.....

We will do alright today. Don't know most of the players turning out, these mercenary types don't stay too long.

Missing Mud Pig on here to be honest, we need that middle of the road, unbiased opinion of his.

Barnsley v Vandals. Barnsley are very good with the ball, less so without it. A tough afternoon for the Vandals
Bramley v Hemsworth. A scruffy win for the home side
Burley v Sheffield. Wouldn't want to pay to watch this one but forward power will be the difference
Harrogate v Ossett. A surprise on the cards here
Knottingley v Castleford. Knotts to wind themselves up more than the opposition. Cant see them winning their Wembley this time around
Otliensians v Wibsey. All the blarney to come to an end with a home win
WPL v Skipton. If the home team travel to this one it will be close but an away win

Tough old game up at Cas. First time I’ve played them for nearly 10 years so can’t speak about previous form but based on today I think they get a bad rap on here.
Nothing slightly dirty about the game today. Tough and physical up front, felt a few of the shots from your 8! Solid set piece and some gas out wide to score some decent trys.  Pushed us all the way today. Well played and look forward to seeing you at Shaw Lane.

Can see why Barnsley are red hot favorites to go straight back up hobbo. From start to finish, speed & tempo throughout the team, never let up at all. We dug in and thankfully you never got too far away from us. Some sore bodies this morning I'll bet but like you say no foul play from anyone and played in a good spirit throughout. Good luck for the rest of the season

Castleford v Barnsley  As much as it hurts to go against the grain, we aren't at our best and have too many folk out of position against a very good team, it will be a very big ask.
Halifax Vandals v Burley Good strong solid side are the Vandals. A comfortable win
Hemsworth v Skipton Too much agility in the Skip team for the juggernauts of Hems to cope with
Old Otliensians v West Park Leeds A narrow away win I reckon
Ossett v Knottingley Grots by a good margin
Sheffield Medics v Bramley Phoenix. As ever pending what team the Meds put out but narrow home win
Wibsey v Harrogate Pythons Should be a comfortable afternoon for the Pythons.

Good post abcwyz, most clubs are struggling to get players to commit to playing let alone training.

Its good to hear the folk on their high chairs on the forum bemoan other clubs due to them being able to. People just have better things to do now than commit to taking a day out to play rugby. In this present climate folk are having to do more hours and shifts just to stay afloat. Work commitments do unfortunately have to take precedence now.

This isn't a club issue for me its a society issue and the RFU are well aware of the troubles ahead. Castleford before Covid were looking at putting out four teams, shirt sponsors were in place to provide the fourth kit. In today`s climate we await the phone calls on the Friday wandering if we have enough players for one team on the Saturday.

I think we all would hope the Covid card isn't been used by any club. I would much prefer honesty and then everyone would have an understanding and try and help where and if we could.

We must look beyond our own game being canceled, there will be a lot more to it, too many people work tirelessly behind the scenes for the love of the game and their respective clubs. The last thing they want to see is their club in this situation.

Barnsley v Ossett. A challenging afternoon in prospect for Ossett
Bramley Phoenix v Halifax Vandals Game of the day for me. The Vandals by 14
Burley v Castleford Lets see if the mindset matches their ability.
Harrogate Pythons v Old Otliensians  Surprised it hasn't been called off yet with a home win, but Pythons by some
Knottingley v Wibsey  Grots with an easy win here
Skipton v Sheffield Medics  If medics can keep the 6 & 8 quite and don't kick possession away to the fastest kid on two feet on the wing, then!
West Park Leeds v Hemsworth  One to avoid if you enjoy rugby.

Spitting at anyone in this and any game should be a minimum of a season ban, choose how good they are.

With regards to Castleford Mud Pig; we warmed up like we played (which in many folks view point should have been a good omen?) Skipton practiced their line outs, scrums and set pieces. I could give all the excuses but every team are in exactly the same position so...

The turning point was the yellow card for the Skipton backrower. I wont elaborate on that because then I would be making excuses. The home team wanted it more than we did and poor decision making on the field cost us in the end.

Castleford probably had a double figure penalty count against them for high tackles. Not one of them malicious but above the waistline no doubt. This made it a very stop start game and frustrated the hell out of the team. To Skipton's credit they managed the game to their advantage by keeping the ball in hand more awaiting a tackle knowing it was going to be pinged. I am not blaming the official, we should be able to adapt to any situation on the field if we want to progress.

Fitness in Y3 is the key that is for sure. Early engagement at the scrum also killed us and had been doing throughout the game; hence you take the three points under the damned posts...

I get it Hoodie.

But Surely you / we shouldn't bemoan a club that is trying to instill a more professional attitude within their team? The coaches give their time, trouble and efforts and do not put a team on the park to lose. They players possibly need to buy into the changes more!

Using your same analogy: If Antony Joshua spent less time in the mirror and less time on day time TV he may just turn out to be decent boxer!

Bramley Phoenix v Ossett. Bramley with home advantage
Burley v Wibsey Like most clubs at present, both are finding it difficult to get teams out. Wibsey to sneak it
Hemsworth v Halifax Vandals Played both sides now, Vandals by a good margin
Knottingley v Harrogate Pythons. A good game in prospect. A full compliment for both teams would be an away win but I can see Knotts pinching this one
Skipton v Castleford We have the usual excuses for this one, latest being my dogs got a cough! but still I think we should have too much for Skipton
West Park Leeds v Sheffield Medics. Sooner or later WPL will bring one together.

You should have said you were coming down Half Nut, we could of had a pint or two in the lounge.

I thought I saw someone in a smoking jacket with a cravat on, it turned out to be one of our better paid players!!

Wow Slurge pig, Put a brick on the other shoulder to balance that chip fella.

Stop at Knottla kid that is where your opinion counts.

I wondered how long it would take you to administer wins Vs Ca$ !  ::)

And for the record if the better team on the day wins, so be it, we will go again

Castleford v Hemsworth. Castleford getting stronger and fitter by the week. Sorry Hems` no RL final to save you this time!
Halifax Vandals v Sheffield Medics. Vandals are a well structured side and will take some beating at their place
Harrogate Pythons v Barnsley Close game but the away team will edge it
Knottingley v West Park Leeds Technicality over grunt and push
Old Otliensians v Burley. Glad I aren't paying to watch this one, two sides struggling for momentum.
Ossett v Skipton Be a close game I reckon, Skipton by five or less
